It was really crowded with LOTS of tour groups...mainly kids and teens from foreign countries. Wait times for rides were anywhere from 40 mins to 60 mins. Even had wait times for the kiddie rides like 20 mins.
I noticed that the killer whale shows were Not that great like they were in the past. I understand for the safety of the trainers they are no longer allowed in the tanks with the whales but that is part of what made it so awesome in the past. The whales only did a few jumps like 4 maybe. They barely made any effort...it seemed like the whales didn't want to perform.
I noticed the trainers giving commands over and over.
The Dolphin Blue Horizons show was Awesome!!!! We also loved feeding the sting rays..had alot of good laughs there. It was $5 a tray of fish or $4 with annual discount.
The Dolphin Cove was also fun...$7.00 per person who enters to feed the dolphins or $6 with discount. You had to go into the area in groups and you had a few minutes to feed and pet dolphins. I actually like the way it is done...keeps people from being pushy and gives everyone a turn.
We didn't do the Shark Encounter, there was a line waiting outside to get in.
If you want to feed the sealions you need to do so before 5 o'clock. We got there at that time and she just locked up and took several buckets to the seals and sea lions , feed them, and left.
The Dining Plan was another big plus!!! We got way more than our money's worth. Water is 2.79 a bottle and I know between me and 2 kids plus my baby we would have spent over $50 in water and drinks without the dining plan. We also got lots of snacks inside the air conditions restaurants like strawberries and watermelon or pickles with drinks to take breaks. The fruit was 3.29 i think per bowl.
I need to get on photobucket and upload pics tomorrow and then will post pics then.
