Went today, 9/9/08 - character-o-rama!

DS and I had a great time today!

We started at DCA because I wanted to experience TSMM for the first time, but it was down. Screamin' was down for a bit as well, but TSMM was still down after we had lunch. I don't know what time it came back up.

The park felt empty, and it was wonderful! We had lunch at Ariel's Grotto, and without PS we waited forever, but there were 5 princesses in addition to Ariel - Snow White, Cinderella, Jasmine, Aurora, and Belle. I don't know if this is a lineup that they are now using every day, but it was different when we went in April.

We got pictures with Stitch and Mickey, saw Pluto, hung out in Bug's Land for a while (walked right on to every ride), then headed over to DL.

We saw Donald Duck just as he was coming out on Main Street, and I was so excited as we had never gotten pics with him before! Mickey and Minnie were taking pictures together, but Minnie left and Donald came out.

We then went straight to ToonTown and Mickey's house. We waited no more than 10 minutes before seeing Mickey. Minnie was outside too.

I saw Aladdin in Adventureland and the Fairy Godmother in front of the castle, but didn't stop for pictures.

We walked right on to Winnie the Pooh (rode it twice without getting off!) and Buzz Lightyear. Saw Pooh and Tigger, but DS didn't want to stop for pics. Before we left at around 5pm, we got pictures with the Mad Hatter and Alice in Wonderland.

It was a nearly perfect day and we are heading back next Tuesday, hopefully to ride TSMM and see as many characters!

How were the crowds at DL yesterday (9/9)? I'm taking DS 3 today for the afternoon/evening and am hoping for little/no lines!

He is just 40 inches and I know he's going to want to ride SM, BTM, ST, and SM over and over and over again! If the lines are short then we'll be able to do that!

Crowds were very light! It was wonderful. We didn't go on many rides at DL, but we walked on to Winnie the Pooh, the Mark Twain, and Buzz Lightyear. And that was all in the late afternoon!

Thank you! That was from our first trip to DLR with the little one when he was about 8 months old. He still has the ears, but lost the sunglasses on our last trip to DL.

We were also there yesterday (last day of our 5 day trip) and saw most of the same characters, although we did not see Fairy Godmother. However, we also saw Jasmine and Captain Jack Sparrow. We also saw Frozone and Mr. & Mrs. Incredible in DCA.

One surprise yesterday was the fact that despite the low crowd level, Indy FPs were gone by 12:30 pm!
