Went to ortho today with my daughter

Course, Bradley just had his upper braces put on last week. But, we had to go for a consult today with Brittany as her dentist thought it was time to start treatment on her.

Well, the ortho decided it was too early right now to start as she had a few more permanent teeth yet to come in. Now, the bad news, when they do start, it will be even more extensive than Bradley's. Turns out she is missing more adult teeth than I thought. All of her wisdom teeth are missing (not a bad thing). Four teeth on the bottom and one on the top are missing also, in addition to the wisdom teeth. So, he said that eventually after straightening and spacing, she would likely need implants or bridges.

Gee, and only two more missing teeth girls and one crooked teeth boy to go! (Don't know what Olivia's missing yet, so she may be another to add!)

We just went yesterday. Turns out my DD's mouth is too small for her teeth, so we have to decide between expanding her palate or pulling teeth. Maybe I could send you some extras.

I dread going for the consult. DD's dentist reminds me that she needs braces at every visit, but even with dental insurance braces are not affordable on our budget. I do think that later this year we can finally put some serious thought in to them. DD is actually looking forward to getting them.
