Went On Everest!!!

97 days until i go on it in april i am so excited! I keep looking at the pics:) Every pic make it look better.

well on the theme parks and strategies board a thread says they have a picture of the yeti on jimhillmedia.com

really i don't want to look

You are so lucky you got to ride it!! I am really looking forward to this! :goodvibes

just one question: Is this one of those rides where they take your picture at a really terrifying part of the ride? I always look so foolish in those pictures, LOL. :rotfl2:

can not wait until next trip....

Mal

Hey Mal, that's my FAVORITE ride too!! Could ride it all day long :) :) :)

Glad you got the chance to ride Everest, Skate! Can't wait until we go down again and get the chance to ride it ourselves. What date is it officially open to the public?

I keep hearing that this ride is similar to BTMRR....how similar? I can ride it with no problems, but have never been on Space Mountain or any roller coaster that is inside. (I know, I know, I'm a big chicken....they scare the heck outta me. I rode the Screm Machine at 6 Flags and was 6 shades paler when I got off LOL) I'm wondering if I can even do this one since I abslutely hated (yes, I do really mean hate) Test Track. Ugh....So I'm looking for a little more guidance here.

Oh Tishke!! You have to try Space Mountain - just do not sit in the front or the back. It is an easier experience and better experience for a beginner in an inside roller coaster. This was actually my first roller coaster that I went on when I was 6, and actually same with my girls. Now they have no fear of any coaster. Sorry for the OT - just trying to help calm fears over Space Mountain.

Let me say Everest is a great ride even after 8 times in a row. Cant wait till next weekend with AP and DVC holders. FYI..the back is the best

Pink.. Offical open date not yet set
Tishke..it is almost like BTM but goes inside the mountain and backwards so there are places where it is dark and you cant see anything
the Photo is taken as you go down the 80ft drop

Woot! We head to WDW a week from tomorrow. Since we are Disney Vacation Club Members we get to ride!!
(I just REALLY hope I don't get sick. ;) )

Oh I cannot wait to ride it myself. Happy that u had fun

well i saw a video of the ride and it's not that scary at all

and when the yeti came on the video i thought it was a light

you can't do the roller coaster or the video?

i guess you watched the video then

i like the going backwards part :)

my 6 yr old (now 7) was scared of the dark. But get a small keychain flashlight that they can clip on thier fanny pack and they will be much happier. She rode this ride 6 times with her falshlight shining on her face and she loved it. Not to mention the other dark rides. It was the best. Can't wait to do the Yeti.
