has really made great strides. The iris I thought were not going to bloom are loaded with buds and other stuff I can't name is blooming.
I guess I want to talk about my trip. My best friend's (we have been friends since grade school) husband died last Tuesday. He had had a kidney removed about 8 years ago due to cancer and then developed non-Hodgkins lymphona. He has had a very rough year - because of his kidney problem and a heart condition he had to go to the hospital for 5 days every month for chemotherapy and just completed 27 courses of radiation. The cancer was in remission - he was getting better and then he got up from breakfast and had a fatal heart attack. So we jumped in the car and drove to Chicago. Stayed overnight with my daughter and new son-in-law in Cleveland both going and coming and spent a day with the kids on the way back.
Sorry to put that on everybody - but I had to talk about it. Seeing the garden thriving does make me feel much better. Gardening really is my therapy.
