I woke up around 8:30 & started some packing, DH & DS slept until much later when I was almost done-figures! We had decided that our last day would be spent at DtD since DS has saved plenty of his money to spend & hadn't asked for anything (except food) during the trip.
DH & DS headed back to the PM to eat and I headed over to the Beach Club to drop off the DIS Stroller Swap stroller. I got back & we headed to DtD. They enjoyed DQ while I shopped, then I picked them up & off we went to the Lego store. DS spent about $100 on some Legos that he can't find around here--they are having some good sales in that store right now!
We headed off to the airport and arrived around 2:45 for our 5PM flight. Luckily we got there when we did, after we got done in line, it was 30 people deep so we were pleased. We had lunch at Stinger Rays (or something like that) & cut things a little close when we had to wait about 25 minutes to go thru security. Our flights home on AirTran were fine (except for a mom who let her lap baby cough incessantly without covering their mouth--ugh!)
Overall, we thought the trip went better than anticipated. While the temps were really hot and the rain made things a little uncomfortable, we rode and saw much more than we had planned so that worked out well. We were lucky that we had already seen Spectro & Illuminations but I felt bad for those who didn't get to see them due to the weather. The lines were shorter than I had anticipated for summer so that was a nice surprise. The people we encountered were generally friendly, most CMs were really nice & spoke to us by name since we wore out GOH badges. We did see lots of of people smoking in the lines and in other areas that were not allowed, but overall we came across friendly, rule-abiding park-goers.
I plan on changing our January ressies to include CSR, we liked the resort that much. I found the bus transportation to be better than any other resort we stayed at before and the pool was terrific. The CMs at the resort were top-notch and the housekeeping staff did an excellent job.
Can't wait to go back in January!
