Today we slept in pretty late due to our evening and night in MGM yesterday. After a quick lunch (we missed breakfast) at the Pepper Market, we headed over to Epcot. DH picked up a handheld captioning system from Guest Relations while I got some TT Fastpasses and off we went to Spaceship Earth. The handheld captioner allowed DH to finally understand what is being said throughout the ride for the first time. Now he likes the ride as much as I do.
After that we got in line Misson Space but I chickened out right before entering the ride, DH & DS liked it so much they rode it 2xs in a row and we did some of the neat computer games at the ride exit--very nice the way it is set up. The gift shop was really cool & found the cheapest set of space toys (10 pieces for $2!) and a neat Misson Space lanyard for DH.
After that we headed to Ellen's Energy Adventure & then over to the Wonders of Life Pavilion where DH & DS rode Body Wars, then we all sat thru the Making of Me & Cranium Command. We left the Pavilion & ate lunch at the Electric Umbrella--I always forget that the food is not that great there-IMO.
We went to Mouse Gears & got one of those neat Italian Charm bracelets I have been hearing so much about and 3 neat charms too. We then headed to Test Track to use out FPs and got on the ride within 5 minutes or so. We headed back to MS so DH could get some good pics of the outside of the ride & then back to Guest Relations to return the captioning system.
Off to our resort since we left our e-ride tickets in our room, we also picked up the stroller from the DIS boards stroller swap in case DS got tired at the end of the night. Our one mistake was leaving behind the umbrella--we would later regret that one!
MK was pretty full when we arrived at around 7:45 but we made our way to City Hall, got our wristbands and another handheld captioner, then off to Aladdin, & POTC. The thunder was rumbling by then & we could see lightning off in the distance. We decided to get over to Fantasyland & ride as much as possible while everyone else seemed to be lining up for the Spectro & FITS. We got FL & decided to do Small World first. After we got off the ride, it was already pouring so we figured we would dash over to Peter Pan. We did that, then off to Snow White. We had to run thru some real downpours but made it on Pooh too.
We got some garbage bags from a CM who was handing them out to everyone & eventually ran down to Buzz, rode that 4 xs in a row, then rode Space 2xs. The rain started to let up so we headed over to the Haunted Mansion, rode it 2xs, then BTMRR and Splash. We took lots of little breaks & had some snacks here & there when the rain was really bad but we got to ride everything we wanted so the night went well in spite of the rain!
DH had to run back to City Hall to get there by 1AM to return his handheld captioner & DS & I got some ice cream and sat at the end of Main Street staring at the castle. We knew we wouldn't be coming back to MK until January 2004 so we wanted to make the image last.......
