Well...twist my arm Southwest...

Have a trip planned from December 4-December 10 at AKV Jambo 1 bedroom standard view. Just checked southwest's flights today, and they had flights from RDU to MCO for $49 each way.

Problem is, that the fare didn't apply on December 4. So I checked the day before and, sure enough, there were two flights that qualified for the $49 fare.

Quick call to MS, keeping my fingers crossed... No standard view 1-BR... So I ask her to check for any studios and 1-BR at AKV, and sure enough, they have a 1-BR value! Booked it! I was able to get my airfare for 1/2 the price, and "saved" $100 at the cost of 26 points, plus an extra night at Disney!

I saw that sale, a great price. We always drive, but at that price my husband (who hates to fly) is considering it.

We leave the 4th also, same airport of course!

Thank you for posting this! We drive but if I change my dates around (arriving on the 3rd rather than the 4th) it makes a lot more sense to fly. My husband is going to be so relieved that we don't have to drive and as a bonus, I can add another day to our trip!

I did pretty much the same thing!! We had to arrange our flight since we have a vistor coming in, well dont you know that the $49 flight popped up for that day before!! NICE I just might hug the people at Southwest for giving us an additional day!

Yeah, I switched from arriving on the 4th of december to arriving on the 3rd of december. Cut my airfare cost in half. I did have to borrow the points, but it works for me :-D

Wish we got those deals. We're heading down 12/13-12/19 from MSP and best I can find is $284 on any airline.

Hope that comes down as I'm not wanting to drop $900+ after taxes for the 3 of us.

We have Southwest through Midway as an option, but fares are the same $284 right now.
