Well tonite I switched resorts!

I switched from the Poly to POR. After much internal debate I switched. I keep reading about how nice POR is. After looking and reading so many review and pictures my wife and I decided to do it. We have stayed at the Poly before and liked it a lot. I like to try a new resort each time we go to WDW so I am the one that really pushed it. The almost $600.00 saving is a big plus also. Hopefully I made the right decision. I asked for bldg. 14,15 or 18 in Bayou. We are still staying the last 3 nights at AKL. This means we will be trying 2 new resorts on our trip. Oh well now we just have the Y&B Club,Grand Floridian and the Boardwalk to go..smjj

I love POR. The grounds are beautiful and it is very peaceful. The boatride to DD is very nice.

My sister just returned from her fourth POR trip last week. She refuses to stay anywhere else she loves it so much! Once again, she raved about every aspect of the resort.

I stayed at POR in 1993... I loved it! I think you will be happy with your choice! Plus that extra $600 is great! How are you going to spend it??? <grin>

We have stayed at PO three times. It is our favorite resort. We love the mansions and Alligator Bayou. Last fall we were in building 15 in AB. The location was great. It was very close to the food court/bus stop.
The landscaping is beautiful. I think you will enjoy your stay there!

smjj....that's exactly the same resorts I stayed in last May. POR then AKL last 3 nights. I loved POR and stayed in AB #18. It was next to the quiet pool and not a far walk to the foodcourt. The grounds are beautiful.

AKL is outstanding to say the least. Do you have a savannah room? It is so relaxing to view the animals from the balcony. The resturants are the best. Boma is a big favorite.

Yes, we have a savannah room. It appears from the replies, we did indeed make the right decision to switch. I was showing my wife pics. of POR and her comment was, looks real nice but I am sure anyplace we stay at WDW will be nice. I think that says it all..smjj

We stayed at POR twice and LOVED it! We stayed at the Poly 3 times and LIKED it. You will really love the theming at POR - it is BEAUTIFUL!

Another vote for the POR. We stayed there last March and loved it. We liked the main and quiet pools, the water wheel, the walk over the bridge to the pool, the boat ride on the Sassagoula River, renting a surrey bike and riding it to POFQ and back, the buses to the parks, the hot tub, the corner room in bldg 14 (very convenient), the landscaping, and on and on. Here's a tip if you're staying in bldg 14 or 15: you can go out the back of the building, cross the parking lot and a small street, and there you will find the bus stop to the parks. There's no need to go thru the food court and lobby each time.
