As you can see, I like the thrill rides.

Enjoy your stay.

Well,we don't like the thrill rides. Here are a list of our faves:

Winnie the Pooh
Buzz Lightyear's ride (This is awesome, your kids will  it!)

And,kids will like to eat at the resorts for the All-Stars or Pop Century Resort.

There is so much to do ,see, and eat.....Whatever you do,I'm sure they'll love it!
Have a wonderful trip!
Kirsten in snowy Nova Scotia :jumping4:

Peter Pan and It's a Small World . . . oh and Carousel of Progress if it's open. They're classics.

The others pretty much said it all. You'll have to figure out your own favorites, but they know what they're talking about!

Have a great time. Oh and don't miss the fireworks "Wishes." It's fantastic! And make sure to visit the statue of Mickey and Walt. It's located in a circular garden just where the road branches out and you have to go one direction or the other in front of the castle.

Along with the rides mentioned - don't miss the Whispering Canyon Cafe for dinner at the Wilderness Lodge - make sure they ask for ketchup - even if their meal doesn't call for it. Also check out Blizzard Beach and the Miniature Golf courses. FANTASMIC is a must see as well.

Don't forget Mickeys Philharmagic, Peter Pan,Winnie the Pooh,Snow White Splash ,Thunder and Space Mountains Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Carribean are also fun..At MGM when that age our kids loved Star Tours, Tower of Terror and Great Movie Ride and the Muppet Show. They enjoyed eating at Whispering Canyon,Garden Grill and the SCi Fi Dinner (food is not great here but they adored the atmosphere). Have an awesome trip!! :flower1:

If you go to Downtown Disney there's DisneyQuest, five floors of interactive games

For restaurants our kids loved both Prime Time and Sci-fi.

We ate at the Sci-Fi in MGM the last time we went to Disney. Loved it and are planing on going everytime we visit MGM. :wizard:

I would book a character breakfast at Chef Mickey's (Contemporary) or Ohauna's (Polynesian). Then afterwards, you can take the monorail to MK. My kids love it everyime. It is a buffet with good selections. a MUST DO!

This is great! We also are planning our first trip to Orlando in May with our 4 & 6-year-old. I am making notes of all these suggestions. Thanks, and keep them coming! :cheer2:

Buy a guidebook, the unofficial guidebook to WDW or any other one, read it, visit this forum-I warn you will become addicted to it. Decide ahead of time which parks you're visiting on which days based on what parks are open late, what the crowds are like on certain days at each park. From there pick out the must do attractions based on review/comments from this site and your guidebook. It doesn't need to be a military schedule, but it will help you immensely if you have an idea of where you're going on what day and what you'd like to see. And remember, all plans change, just go with the flow, try not to get overwhelmed with the planning and enjoy yourself. I can guarantee this will not be your last visit.

Hi! Don't know if you've got boys or girls or both...Mine were also 7 and 9 (DD'S) on our first trip...simply WONDERFUL ages! They are both old enough to do anything, but may be hesitant for some things as mine were. Our absolute favorite things were Buzz lightyear, HM, BTMR, Lion King Show, Beauty and the Beast show, Star Tours, Test Track, and Pirates. They were willing to try most - only avoided TOT and RNR although the smaller one skipped Space Mt. I second the importance of character dining and if you have girls, try for breakfast at the castle. You will have so much fun watching them have fun!!!

Oh! Get them the WDW for Kids by Kids book by Birnbaum. Mine still love to look at it and pretend we're there. I've got to get the new one myself as we're taking trip number two in May! Have fun! :Pinkbounc

Make sure you take advantage of fastpass. If you are at MK when the gates open, go directly to fantasyland, get a fastpass for Mickey's philharmagic--even if there is no line. It will tell you to come back at 10:05-11:05, and you can get another fastpass at 10:10 ( I might be off by 5 min. or so.). Most people will go to philharmagic and if there is no line, see it then. Philharmagic is fairly long compared to other attractions, so while you are inside, lines are forming at other attractions. After getting your fastpass, you can ride anything in fantasyland or go to the haunted mansion, thunder mtn, splash mtn before any lines form. Then, before using your fastpass, take the train to the other side of the park, ride space mtn or buzz lightyear, get a fastpass for the one you don't ride, and go back to philharmagic. While you are there the time will be ticking on your second fastpass. I do the same thing at AK getting a FP for the safari first thing.

I went to MK before work one day just to see how many things I could do in the couple hours I had before heading for the boats (this was during March--spring break). In 2 hours and 10 min, I was able to do 8 rides and had 2 fastpasses just by being there when the park opened. If you slow down a little and can still do half that--you'll have a blast!

My "don't miss list"
MK--Philharmagic, haunted mansion, and the "Mountains"
AK--Festival of the Lion King (my favorite of any WDW attraction bar none), Kilimanjaro safari
MGM--Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, Fantasmic
EPCOT--I like the entire park. Too much to see, too little time in a day. IllumiNations is great.

Food--
Ohana at the Poly is my favorite, followed by Boma at AKL. Trails End restaurant at FW is the best value in WDW--good food, reasonable prices, and the best breakfast on property.

Have fun,
Bill
