My family left me today to go on the Magic!!! My parents and kids (DM 60; DF, 65; DD 12--will turn 13 on the cruise; and DS 9) left this morning for their Eastern cruise which begins tomorrow.
It has been a tiring 24 hours to say the least. We determined last night that DD's flip-flops were all looking pretty pitiful so we had to make a Wal-Mart AND Target run last night in a horrible thunderstorm. Decided to pick up MORE sunscreen and some swim goggles. Then there was this really cute shirt.... $125.00 later we came home. DS decided last night to start worrying about the plane crashing. I finally had to give him an Ativan and he was off to sleep in 30 minutes. The boy definitely has anxiety problems. He was so wound up this morning that he drove us all crazy. Finally got them to the airport and went into the office for some peace and quiet.
I just got a call that they had landed safety and checked in very quickly at the Hyatt MCO. They are VERY pleased with the accomodations. After they landed, they were in their room within 20 minutes.
Word of warning on flip flops. DD found a very cute pair of lime green flips flops that have light up straps. They were delayed in airport security for these as they detected batteries and wires within the flip flops.
Who would've have thought!!! They were also "detained" so DS's nebulizer could be thoroughly examined.
Now, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will give me a call tomorrow before they board the Magic to tell me they've been upgraded (they are on Deck 1, Cat 9).
