"Well, the food IS free, so... Why not?" A September 2009 PTR *UPDATED 08/31*

Hey everyone, and welcome to my PTR! My name is Kayla, and I am a young teen from Northeast Ohio. It seems like every
time I try to write a PTR, it never seems to work out. I plan on changing that this year =]

This is our 6th trip to Disney within 5 years. As you can imagine, I am very happy to be going again. So far, we’ve
stayed at POR, Pop, ASMu, and ASMo. My favorite so far is Pop Century. I love its kitschy-ness

Here’s a quick run-down of the cast =]

Me - I am a major Disney nerd. Just ask my friends. (hah) My favorite characters are: Ariel, Alice, Peter Pan, Buzz Lightyear, and Aladdin.
My favorite park would have to be MK, with Epcot in a very close second. I love Test Track and EE, but my favorite ride is the TTA . And, I’m really scared to ride TOT and RNRC.

Mom- She works at the YMCA as a Day Care provider. Her favorite character is Pooh. She loves Soarin’ and Epcot.

Dad - He’s a long-distance truck driver. I’m pretty sure his favorite character is Donald. His favorite ride is RNRC and he loves DHS.

Amanda (DSis 17) - She works at the Y as well. Only she is a gymnastics coach. I think her favorite character is Ariel, like me.
I’m not sure about her favorite park/ride… I’ll have to ask her =] She will be meeting us in FL about half way through because of college.

Becca (DSis 11) - Her favorite parks are Epcot and AK and her favorite character is Ariel, too. Her favorite ride is a tie between Test Track and Splash Mountain.

Owen (DBro 8) - He loves Mickey. His favorite park is MK, and, in his opinion, Goofy’s Barnstormer is the best ride in WDW.

Evan (DBro 6) - His favorite character is Mickey Mouse. He loves Test Track and Big Thunder, and his favorite park is Epcot.

Alrighty, so we are staying at Pop Century this time for 13 nights
We are driving down on September 19th, and checking out on October 2nd. I think this is going to be our longest trip so far

Since free dining was available, we of course took Disney up on their offer

Well, my school's orientation was last night. I got tons of homework, but I have 2 weeks to finish it! I love going to a homeschool co-op

One of the girls from my school has MRSA and we all told her and her sister (a carrier) not to go out and be hugging people and all that, but what do they do? They went to the movies, Olive Garden, they had friends over, and they went to my one friends' house. Oh, and guess what? Now he has MRSA, too. So not cool.

Anyway... Just needed to vent about that. Wow. I've really been slacking on this PTR. Let's get to it

Here’s our itinerary =]

Sept 19 - Leave the house at 6am, then drive to Kingsland, GA. to the Microtel Inn and Suites.
Sept 20 - Drive from Kingsland to Pop Century. Check in, then head to MK.
Sept 21 (My birthday) - Go to DHS. Get free birthday gift card
Sept 22 - No park
Sept 23 - Epcot
Sept 24 - No park. Shopping at Walmart, Target, and outlets. Amanda comes to FL
Sept 25 - AK
Sept 26 - DTD/Laundry day
Sept 27 - MK
Sept 28 - Epcot
Sept 29 - DHS
Sept 30- DHS
Oct 1 - MK
Oct 2 - Epcot for F&W/Check out day
Oct 3 - DTD? Shopping. Drive 5.5 hours to Microtel Inn and Suites in Waterboro, SC.
Oct 4 - Drive 10.5 hours home

Aww, your family is so adorable Your trip sounds very exciting, i'm so jealous of your itinerary, lol. The only way I would be gone to Disney that long is in my dreams! But I think it's awesome how you're going to celebrate your birthday in Disney World, i'm sure you'll have a great time! These giraffes were about 10' from our truck. It was pretty sweet.

I plan on buying this mug this time around. Every year I see it, but don't buy it. And I want it. ha

Kayla, I'm a homeschooling mom of 3 girls (10, 13 and 14). We were at Pop last year in September, but we're headed to POR this year. We are so excited to be headed back to the world. We leave in 20 days! Isn't is awesome to be a homeschooler and be able to go on vacation when everyone else is in school! I look forward to your report. My DD14 has been thinking about creating a TR. I'll be sure she sees yours.

Oh POR is so relaxing And it's never too loud, so you can always have a good nights sleep.
Oh my goodness. I love being homeschooled. We have so much freedom. And we can get our school work done in about 2 (give or take) hours, too
Oh I hope she does! I will definitely read it if she writes one

Oooh the kitchen sink is so good. And it's giant! We had 6 people working on it, and we still couldn't finish it!

Aww =/ I'm sorry it was all booked up... ASMu is pretty awesome, though. We stayed in the Broadway building when we went
