Well...that was a HARD "no" on early AP renewal...

My wife, son, and I are all *current* Gold AP holders (we own DVC). Our passes are set to expire on November 10th. So, we're 6 days away from our renewal window. I called the Passholder number today to see if I could get a little magic cast my way and be allowed to go ahead and renew, as it would save us several hundred dollars and we'd maybe be able to keep photopass for another year. I'd like to say that I was very polite in asking, but let's just say that I was given a very short, abrupt, hard NO without even an attempt at an explanation.

It's not like I was asking to renew 3 or 4 months early....just 6 days. Yes, I know rules are rules, but I know that I've read here about people being allowed to renew early due to needing to book park reservations, etc....and we already have two trips booked without park reservations due to being unable to renew our AP's.

Did you try DVC member services? I thought I had read of people renewing/buying passes through them, at least before the new AP announcement. I understand having trips booked beyond your AP expiration date. I bit the bullet and bought tickets. I then had to call to get the price of the tickets applies to my AP renewal cost.

Yes, member services referred me to the Passholder number. Said they couldn't do it.

Bummer, we were able to renew 2 months early through DVC(needed to so we could get park passes). Since then I have read multiple posts that they were not letting you renew early any longer.
I would have suggested talking with DVC guest services, but sounds like that's what you did.

I booked a room for next spring and then called member services and said I needed the renewal to make park pass reservations. That did the trick. This was a couple of weeks ago so maybe the policy doesn't apply anymore, but that's been the workaround for the last year or so at least.

Current Platinum AP holder and DVC owner here. I recently called to renew my wife’s and my APs—at what a VIP Passholder cast member had previously told me was our 60-day renewal day—only to be told I was one day early! Apparently, Disney’s ticket renewal system was showing us at the 59-day mark even though we were at the 60-day mark calendar-wise. Oh, well … called back the next day and was able to renew both passes.

Welp...after two calls this morning (one to the Passholder line, and one to DVC Member Services), I've gotten two more hard "no" responses. According to them, Disney has completely cut it off.

Not feeling real magical right now, Disney.

Thank you for posting & trying. My renew date was December 1st, but after the closures is now end of April. I was curious too if I paid in full if I could get another year of my current Gold pass. Bummer. Bigger bummer is my original renew date was always November 1st, but a few years ago Disney gave us a bonus month as a passholder promotion.
