I just called Disney to try and book a site visit for when i am in Florida in Sept but they said because my wedding date is outside of their 18 month window they cant give me an official site visit! :sad1:

It's only 1 month outside of their 18 month window and it's not like i can go to the venue whenever i want. :headache:

They said if i'm in the area i'm welcome to have a look around but they cant show me around... i bet without an appointment i wont even be able to make it beyond the front door but i guess i'll have to do my best.

Am very disappointed though, as i was looking forward to it

Thanks for listening

Nicola

Did they know you were coming over from the UK and wouldn't be able to visit again?

Perhaps you should just fib and pick an earlier wedding date then just put it back for cost reasons or whatever.

i didnt think of that... prob cos im too honest for my own good.

i did think it was a bit mean of them though.

if i cant get in when im there, i might have a cry at my hotel and see if they can do anything lol

That'e true.Your wedding date isn't set in stone with them yet,i don't think they can even pencil you in yet.A litltle white lie isn't going to hurt.Good luck.

i would lie, they dont know so it wont hurt and then you get to see the venues.

You can visit the pavillion if its not in use as it was open when we went

Which venue are you trying to look at? I know when we went down a few months ago it was still outside the 18 month window and so I couldn't get an official site visit, but I was interested in the living seas and just asked nicely while in Epcot and the manager was kind enough to show us around the upstairs and let us take any pictures we wanted and answer any questions we had, and so you may have similar luck if you just ask someone at the venue to be able to take a quick tour! :goodvibes

When I tried to schedule a site visit I was close enough but there was no one available (or something) but I was told that I could look and go into any location as long as they were not having an event. We were planning on going to the wedding pavilion and the Boardwalk Ball rooms.
