Well our new laminate flooring came in yesterday.

DH and my cousin are putting it down today. If you never hear form me again, its because DH got pissy and I am in prison for murder.

I so understand! We bought ours Wednesday and started laying it Thursday. We are doing two large rooms and still have work to do on it today. It goes fairly quickly unless you have a lot of cuts to do which we have because one of the rooms is the kitchen! The next step is to get all the trim cut, painted, and installed. The new furniture comes next week. I know I'll love it when it's all done, but boy, it is a LOT of work!

They are doing the living room, dinning room, kitchen and hallway. I know its gonna take a couple of days to put in, but my DH has no patience. Plus if something doesn't go they way he wants, when he wants....

So, how did it go today? We completed our den with the exception of 4 small pieces of trim! The room looks bigger now than it did with the carpet. I am so glad that stinky icky carpet is gone!! Tomorrow we tackle the kitchen. I'm sure we won't finish it, but we should make good progress. It does go down easily as long as you don't have too many cuts to make. We finished earlier tonight than we have the last two nights. We decided to rest this evening and make a fresh start tomorrow. I think I am really going to like it. I called today and had the furniture delivery day moved up a week. This time next Saturday I will have my new furniture! WOO HOO! The last time I had a new sofa and chair was 21 years ago when I first started teaching!!

We paid to have ours installed as well. It's the greatest thing. The whole downstairs is done and the hall upstairs as well as the steps. No more sliding down the carpeted steps!!

Actually went much better than I expected. The living room is done and only 1 more piece for the hallway. My cousin didn't get here until late afternoon that is why not much is done, but they are starting early tomorrow so we will see how much farther they get. Our living room looked bigger the minute we riped out the wood stove and tore down the mantle.

sounds like DH. If we buy something that has to be assembled, I have to do it cause he will not read directions, get mad and start cussing.
