Well, My Son Made It!!

Chris has made it through Air Force Basic Training!!

I am flying to Texas tomorrow to see him graduate! You have no idea how proud I am! And how worried I was every single day that he would not make it. But after the first 10 days and two frantic phone calls home basically in tears telling me he wasn't able to deal with the yelling and the inspections etc, he finally got it together and calmed himself down and has made it through and is so happy and proud of himself.

He told me the other day "This has boosted my manliness up about 4 notches mom"...
followed immediately by "I'm going to cry when I see you Mommy."

He's going to be a crew chief for F-16 fighters and he is very very excited. He's shipping out to Shepherd AFB on Monday where he will go for 19 weeks of training then he will be stationed.

I want to thank all of you so much for the support you gave me when things were rough and especially to those who took the time to write to Chris and gave him some extra much-needed moral boosting.

I will be gone until Sunday so I won't be around to post a weekend riddle.

Wow! MY Chris did the same thing! Maybe after training your Chris will be stationed near MY Chris.
