Well my plans have completely change for now about buying into DVC

I guess you'll just have to stay at one of the other 800 gazillion* lovely hotels around the world now (many a LOT nicer than DVC in many, many ways!) I think you'll be fine

That's how we came into dvc. Notice of a layoff (bc the dept was moving from seatttle to grand forks) just after the recission period!

Congrats on the decision to try SAHMing. DVC will be around if you decide to buy in at a future time, and as was said upthread, there are 800 gazillion options for staying near or at Disney - and at most of them are just fine.

Until you are ready to purchase, consider a future DVC rental to get your Disney fix and you can keep collecting info for a future purchase.
