She has to do it ALL over again on Friday.
UGH!!!!
Marie's MRI was scheduled for 1, told to be there at noon for calming meds, (valium and halcyon pills and versed drip). We were there about 11:30, checked in fine, I went off to have a coffee in the cafe. Come back, sitting around, reading till about 2 or so and I go to desk to ask about progress, as I wanted to go make a few phone calls I needed to, but did not want to leave the area if Marie was just about finished.
I give the desk people her name, they bring her up in the computer and they say yes, she is scheduled for Friday at 2. I said, no, she is in there NOW. They said, oh, let me go see. Comes back and said your wife is all finished, she is sleeping in the recovery area but waking up, and is rescheduled for Friday. I go to the room, Marie is waking up, the head tech is there, saying something goofed up with the computer and the pictures did not come out, need to redo.
UGH!!!! I say I can't believe it.
Marie says mostly nothing, pretty much out of it.
So, we leave, have to return on Friday. She conked out as soon as she was in the car (tough even getting to the car) and again as soon as she got in the house. She says she recalls nothing. So, that's the good news.
And that is the update. We can't thank you guys enough for the unbelievable good wishes and prayers from all of you. Marie did read, quite late last night, the thread that Big V started yesterday for her. She was overwhelmed and told me she really could not reply on it last night, feeling the way she did. She truly thanks you all, as do I, a great group of people here.
And those who are in the same boat, Trishy, Mercy's mom, and any others, our prayers are likewise with you, hoping all works out great.
Dan
