I made a post about this the last time I was here (April). It is the very oddest coincidence, and coincidence it is, but I'm beginning to find it a bit unnerving. It seems that every time I come to WDW, someone I know...a relative or friend passes away
July 2000 My Aunt
July 2001 My Step Father
Dec 2001 a personal friend
Feb 2002 DH'S Aunt
April 2002 My Cousin
and now, this past weekend, a dear old friend of the family has passed on. Fran was 94 years....a kind, gentle, never married former school teacher....a tough cookie though, with a great sense of humor She lost her twin sister many years ago and I do believe she never really got past that, she mentioned her every day. She was an animal lover to a fault
(would actually give burial to cats she had found hit by cars....she said no creature deserved to just lie there like that). Fran was frail and ill for quite a long time, but pressed on with life as best she could. She was actually shrinking
...barely as tall as my shoulder when I last saw her.....and lived with an oxygen machine for years. She had told me on several occassions that she thought she was done with this world (very sad) but that she guessed God did not want her just yet so she'd stick to it until he was ready.
I guess He was ready last Friday night....Bless You Fran, it was a pleasure knowing you, you will be missed.
