I went to the doctors today because for a couple of weeks I've had this sharp intermitten pain in my chest and I've been having shortness of breath. I woke up this morning and felt just awful so I finally called to make an appt. They sent me for an xray, then blood work and then for a CT scan. He didn't think it was a pulled muscle because moving around and twisting doesn't bother it. Well, after 4 hours waiting on tests, they didn't see a clot. Thank goodness. So now I have to wait until tomorrow and talk with the doctor again and he'll decide which way to proceed. The guy in nuclear medicine told me they may look in the cardiac direction. What a pain in the a... uh...chest! LOL

Here's hoping it doesn't turn out to be anything very serious.

Sending you some prayers. Hope you continue to get good news.:D

Hello fellow NH DISer!!

I hope you find out the cause real soon and that it's nothing serious.

please tell me they did something simple like an EKG prior to a CT scan !

Prayers and PD for you! It's good they check everything out. And cardiac is the next place you want to rule out! I have a friend whose son in law woke up every morning with chest pain. After running tons of tests, he has some disease that a rheumatolgist takes care of! So don't worry yet!! Could be things other than cardiac.

Good luck to you. They really seemed to have run a lot of tests which are good. They seem to also believe you that is great. Hope everything works out okay.
