Ok, so I've been in the LA area this week on business. Some of you might recall I was here in Cypress back in February and I made the decision to take a solo trip to DL but didn't want to feel guilty about going without the family.
Well, I guess that decision has stayed with me. And, it's no coincidence that I booked my hotel in Cypress this time even though I was visiting an office in a different city. So, I just got back to my hotel a little while ago after taking my 2nd solo trip to DL in 4 months. I finished up work early and had most of the day to goof off. What better way to do it than to go to DL, right?
It was a pretty nice day at the park, although a tad on the busy side. The weather was perfect. Unfortunately, the fireworks show was stopped 3/4 of the way through it, though. Instead of being set up near the hub, I actually parked my can over near NOS right on the water with a view of the Mark Twain and BTTMR. Not a bad place at all to see the aerial shots. And yes, I had my camera and tripod with me. I'll be posting some pics soon but it might be a few days until after I get back home to Texas.
So anyway, I just wanted to pass along that I was in the happy place today. It was a blast!
