We are going to WDW in October this year rather than our usual March/April so as a big NFL fan I was looking forward to the chance of seeing the Miami Dolphins in their home stadium. The schedule for 2011/12 has just been released and for the two weekends we are there the Dolphins are playing away. :sad2: Mind you if we have another season like we did last year it might be doing me a favour. :lmao:

Looks like a trip down to Tampa Bay to see the Buccaneers instead plus another London game has been confirmed as well which is good news. :thumbsup2

Wicksey,

Fingers crossed the games go ahead, with the collective bargin agreement issue still not solved we could be unlucky and not see any games this season. Although I would be very surprised if it got to that.

We too will be there in October, wont make to a 'live' game though, I prefer to sit in the ESPN bar with a bud and bucket of wings, whilst chatting to the natives! BLISS:)

Yeah, I'm sure the toys will be back in the pram before September. Although I've seen a lot of American Football in the UK I've never been to a live game in the US so I definitely want to try and get one in this year.

We were a bit gutted, David, that the game between the Bucs and the Saints is the day we arrive. We would have loved to go but it will be all too much as we only have one week in Orlando this year. What dates are you there?

We're there from 21st September to 5th October. Assuming the season goes ahead we'll probably go for the Falcons game on the 25th September as kick-off isn't until 8:30pm the following week - that would mean missing the DIS meet though. :guilty:

Sorry you will miss this.,it should be a great game.

I am soooooooo excited for it.
I am a massive Saints fan thanks to NOLA friends made on the DIS.
I had planned to go see Tampa in October to experience a game live and I could not believe my luck its the Saints they play !!!

WHO DAT !!

I do have a Q about tickets.

As a football supporter I travel regulary to away games and obviously you sit in your own stand but how is it in the states ?
I know from watch NFL that the fans do seem to mix but is it always safe ?

I have survived many a Glasgow derby and dont want to get my butt kicked Stateside....that would be embarrassing !!

I have never seen or heard of any trouble at NFL matches so I wouldn't have any worries at all.

There is no away ends in the nfl, the diffrent fans sit all together, i went to see the giants vs my chiefs in new york got a few boos wearing my shirt but all good fun.

Wicksey, one hope is the season is delayed a week or 2 enabling a home fixture when your their.

Nothing beats being at a real game in america, but the espn is one off the best places i have been to watch the games and talk with the locals.

Awfull news about brandon marshall today being stabbed by his wife fortunatly should make a full recovery.

I can totally sympathise as I've been in exactly the same situation. Booked a two week holiday to California a few years ago and as it passed through various cities, I had hopes of either seeing the San Diego Chargers or the San Francisco 49ers (my team!) during the trip. However, when the fixtures came out I found the 49ers were playing away and the Chargers didn't even have a game as it was their week off! To make it worse, it turned out to be the week the NFL had picked to play their first ever game at Wembley, so had I stayed at home, I would have had a better chance of seeing live American Football than I did on holiday!
