No one was there. I'm feeling that NH is not a hot bed for pin traders. But thtat is okay by me :)

how lucky can you get?!
(I'm sure you'll have plenty of requests after that admission! LOl)

Wow Nat!! I got to my store at 8:30 am and there were already several people there...they got there at 8:00!!

Wonder how early everyone will be next week?

Leslie

I got there at 10:05... But the lady said you can call the Nashua Disney Store and they will ship you the pins... Starting tomorrow. Only 2 per today.

Mike & I were the first at the Tysons Corner Store at 8:00, joined by a another at about 8:30. By the time the store opened at 10:00 there was a long line. The store had only 6 of the Davy Crocket pins (wasn't there some kind of problem with DC last time?) and 24 of the others. Limited to 2 per person. They had the pins behind the counter. Today is their Grand Re- Opening with lollypops for the first 500 guests, and Mickey & Goofy appearing from noon to 4. Pooh & Tigger will be there tomorow - same hours.

I have a feeling my nice quiet little store won't be that way much longer. I was the only one there on the first week. This week we were up to 8 people. One woman looked like she was going to push her way ahead of me at the gate (Matt and I were the first ones there in the morning) but I quickly put an end to that idea. (The patented "MeanLaureen evil eye")

Luckily the woman that literally "body-checked" my 72 year old Mother last week (I had to work so she went with Matthew in my place) when the gates opened was late this week didn't get there until after the store opened. If she had tried it with me she would have gotten up close and personal with Plush Mountain! (Sorry.. you don't mess with my Mom and not expect me to get mad!)

In all, the majority of the people were calm and orderly. This store displays the pins on the rack still but there hasn't been any troubles. The chick that tried to step in front of me at the gate tried to get in front of me in the checkout line too. I think the next time I go I'm going to have to wear my Kickboxing uniform ;) Let's see her try anything then! Actually next week I have to work so my poor Mom is going to attempt to go with Matthew again. Hmm.. I have a week to teach her how to do a round kick....:smooth:

Well this was my first adventure at the Disney Store.

Mom and I got there about 8:15 and there was one other lady there and a CM friend. We just sat and talked in the comfy seats before others started to get there about 8:45 when we got in line by the store.

By the opening time there were about 15 people in line. Now they only had 7 complete sets. This store only got 7 Jasmines and 8 Davy Crocketts. So I think that most of those in line prior to opening that wanted a whole set got them. I only wanted Tugboat Mickey, Fantasia and Grumpy which they had LOTS of.

This was the first week of having them behing the counter and actually they had the complete sets in bags already before we got there. Some of the sneaky guys ran in and went right to the display and were disappointed...they were not paying attention. LOL...

So it went well there this week, but I understand the week before was not as pretty.

I will venture out next weekend and this time bring my trade bag. I can do some educating on pins.

Boy did this feel good!
:D :D

I was actually #2 in line this week! (Not #1) ;)
There seem to be about 6-8 of us that show up at opening.
I asked the CM if they were short shipped anything this week. She said they were OVERSHIPPED on Davy Crockett.

Up close and personal with Plush Mountain...LOL!!!!! Lauri...go get 'em!!!:D :D :D

Lauri, as a red headed teacher friend says to her students, "I don't have this red hair for nothing!"

I'm continuing to keep my Store a secret :). My husband & I got there atbout 9:35-9:40 followed shortly by our friends who live in the opposite direction. So we were #1, 2, 3 & 4. When the next pin buying guest arrived (she's been there last three weeks), she looked at me & asked what number she was. Then another "regular" pin guest arrived, & he asked the same question. We are wonderfully organzied & well behaved!

About 10:20 or so a man came in to buy #26 (Davy Crockett) & #27 (Jasmine). His wife was at the next closest TDS. He was waiting in the parking lot for her, but when she could not get these two pins, she called him (from the Store to the car :) ) to run down to our Mall to get these two pins. Not only did the other Store only have 7 or 8 of these pins, he said there were about 30 people waiting before the store opened! I suggested he continue to go to the other Mall next week! What I meant was - don't mess with our success!!

Janet & I got to the Brooklyn, NY store at 9:15. We were #12 & 13 in line. By the time the store opened at 10, there were close to 25 people waiting. Well, the cast member announced there were only 6 Jasmine pins. There was only 1 box of each of the other pins. Do the math & you can guess that the last few people on line got no pins at all! Brooklyn has a population of 2,000,000. Add another 2,000,000 people in neighboring Queens which now has no Disney Store. Wouldn't you think Disney would make sure the store has at least 2 boxes of each pin?Or at least 1 box. Or at least a half a box????? Don't they want to make money? No wonder their sales figures are tanking. I shall be calling their home office in California on Monday to yell at them. I urge all other frustrated collectors to do likewise. Their phone number is (818) 265-3435

Ok, My pin purchaser Leslie has the nerve to take a trip to WDW on the most important weekend, the weekend they are releasing the locket. So, as her designated PINch hitter, I have to take the day off and get to the store.
I was wondering how long it will take for me to get from CT to NH. If Nat has it so easy, maybe I will get to his store. I can't imagine doing what Leslie is doing, 8:30????
Of course if Judith wants to let me in on her little secret, I promise I won't tell. We can have a mini pin meet, just you and I, and the 3 other people I hope to talk into coming pin shopping with me that weekend.
And I think they put that Plush mountain way in the back just for you Lauri. give her a good kick, so she can get that feeling of flying... Peggie

So Peggie, which Saturday are you taking off? In other words which weekend has a locket pin? I have a copy of the nice colorful picutres of TDS pins from DizNews (thank you to the person who posted that link!) don't know which one is a locket.

As for coming to the Disney Store where I buy my pins ... we only play nice :) ... no kicking, shoving, pushing, etc. that is not acceptable behavior! We stand around or sit on the benches near the Store entrance & talk, trade pins, eat samples from Cinnabon, etc. until the manager begins to open the gate. Then we walk into the Store & line up at the cash register using the numbers we preassigned ourselves - very orderly! So please keep this in mind if you want to come over & play - oops I mean buy pins!

Peggie, I found the lcoket pin on my pictures from the DizNews site. It is #77!

I was first in line yesterday (a first for me!) and I think our store got all the pins as usual. Everybody was very cooperative as usual - definitely has to do with all the very wonderful CMs in line with us!

After my stop here I went to Columbia Mall which by 11:00 was down to only two pins from this week's series. This store is definitely getting more popular every week! I really wanted one more Fantasia poster pin since I am giving my second Fantasia pin to someone who couldn't stand in line this week.

I also bought several Winnie the Pooh's 75th Anniversary series pins, Snow White Gallery pins, and Dumbo series pins since my local store doesn't carry these at all.

Maybe some of this week's pins aren't as attractive as last week's and I'll agree that Fantasia does look washed out but I do enjoy collecting the series and seeing other pin collectors every week again.

And...in six days it all begins again......!

Had the scare of my life!! Got to my store about 10:30--anticipating no problem because no one (and I mean NO ONE) else has been there the past weeks to get pins. Stroll up to the racks, and NO Poohs or Grumpys--what I wanted! Saw the manager, and she was putting out more. Whew! She said, however, that the pin collecting was picking up and they were starting the 2-pin-per rule.

The manager said that they had been asked how many of each pin they needed. She hadn't ordered that many, because they weren't that big of a 'collecting' store. She said she felt sure these new pin people were coming from the other (more up-scale) side of town because they were having trouble getting the pins from their store.

So I guess I'll be there early next week!

I got to the local (an hour away IS local-lol) store at 9:00 and I was dubbed #5 in line..by the time the store opened there were about 15 people in line..a CM in line with us told us that they had gotten at least 25 of each pin (but that they haven't gotten any more of the #1's yet)..the door opened and this lady who hadn't been in line..proceeds to push in front of me..WHOA..I said very politely "sorry, but the end of the line is back there behind all the others who have waited for the last hour!"..she gave me a dirty look but proceeded to move to the end of the line..man behind me said he would have said something if I hadn't..lol..everything was very orderly other than that..pins behind the counter, no holds, they had all of this week's pin, I think they finally got it right!-lol..oh..also got to meet Gary and Deb (think their name is GaryDeb on here)from these boards..they were up our way and had stayed at a local hotel..couldn't sleep so they got to the store and were first in line..what a way to spend a vacation weekend..lol..hope everyone got all they need this week..some of the pins are really cute!

I didn't go to my Disney Store until this afternnoon (SUNDAY), and all of week #4's pins were there, plus a number from the previous weeks.
