Well I was honest

Today I called to pay for something we purchased. The manager had decided to give us off $200 dollars off their first price, they wanted our purchase -so they beat the another company's price. So today the manager quoted me a price that was over $500 dollars off what we had agreed and he was going to transfer to the cashier.
I was silent for a second then said "Well, I actually owe you more." He asked me "What?" So I shared I owe this much and I think you left off all the sales tax. He then stated he gave me the discount twice so he fixed it back to the correct price. I did share with him I would love the newest price if he wanted that one, I would take it.
Ah well - I was really running out the door with my kids for Saturday nite church. So I just shared the story with the kids on the way there and said it would not of been right.
Bet the company would of never even know it happened. But I do get to max the lastest disney offer- 3 X disney rewards spending over $$ dollars that month max offer of $100 rewards earned.

You did the right thing!

Once I was in a store and they gave me all the copies of my visa slip. When I got back to work and was showing off my great deals - I realized that the clerk had given me the store copy so I went in the next day to give them their copy. The manager thanked me because their cash had been out that exact amount the night before and they couldn't figure out why. All of my co-workers thought I was nuts to go back but it felt good doing the right thing and being honest!

I usually find that when I am honest they will let me keep the discount. At Lowes I had a card in the mail for 10 off a purchase. When I got home I looked at the receipt and the cashier had actually given me 20.00 off. I went back and they told me thanks, but there was nothing they could do now, it was just my lucky day. Another time I used a 3.00 off coupon at Target and the cashier rang it twice. It took a couple of different people at customer service to figure out what I was trying to say. When they finally realized they just told me not to worry about it, it would be too much trouble to fix

Once I was undercharged by 100 dollars at a college bookstore, they didn't let me keep that. When I pointed it out, they wanted their money. The hundred dollars was well spent, I would not have been able to live with myself if I had kept it.

After I had my daughter, I became the person that I wanted her to have. This includes being honest to a fault and letting her see me do the right thing...even if it is not the easiest thing.
