well I thought I had half a chance at ranch's quest until

..................it said catch 45 ghost. I just closed the quest right then and there and gave up. I'm spent 3 days on the yellow car quest trying to catch 45 ghost, the game doesn't count correctly. On one game I had 52 ghost and it decided that was still not enough to pass the needed 45 ghost limit.

Right off the back, I quit Ranch's quests in less than 2 minutes.
It was so hard and wasn't worth the rare furniture.

His quests were challenging- I did the Adventureland and won a gold score board- I started with the Big Thunder Mountain Quest- but other people doing that one kept stopping and blocking the way- and if you answered a question and had to go back again it was way too frustrating

Try the Adventureland quest- you have to play pirates- but I didn't even win lol and still made it through

I'm sorry it's too difficult for some of yall. And really it isn't that hard Cat to get 45 ghosts. It's a challenge for me too (I got to get 45 ghosts myself to get the quest up and running) to play HM, but to get that many really takes 3 rounds and you'll be pretty solid. Just remeber, getting your opponent when they're a ghosts doesn't add to your pay off score. To test the quest I usually get help from a friend who clear my path of bad ghosts.

Other than that, I really hope you've all enjoyed the quests, they're fun to make.. even if they do rob the heck out of you!

Your quests are amazing. The only trouble my son encountered was trying to get through the green seat maze quickly, because someone would not move out of the chair he needed....

The same thing is happening to me except that its with the green car quest.
It says to catch 85 ghosts and I do but it wont let me go on to the next task!

Yes. There are problems with people blocking the way. I tried one and in 2 rooms there were 2 different people blocking the way. One even got upset when someone reported them because they were busy doing something else!
But it's very difficult to get people who will play or who knows how to play HM. I can hardly ever get 45 unless I'm playing with people I know who are good. And that's pretty rare.

But all in all, I do think they are enjoyable. I will be going back and trying again.

I, too had problems with people blocking teleporters and paths. I quit after the first 2 parts of the quest. I really wanted to play because of the awesome prizes, but I knew that all the stopping to wait was killing my time. No point continuing then.

Well I created that Quest today just to keepp all four going. It had 20 prizes go like nothing so I've added the race element at the end. I'll have to adjust the maze times if VMK ever lets me on again!

For a veteran maze player though, those times are pretty reasonable (in an unclogged maze)!

Every time I try to go thru it, there is some problem. I've had several people blocking the way. And by the time they move, I end up disconnected. I've also crashed several times. I've tried at least 10 times just to get thru it and can only get to the 6th step. And that was 3 hrs later!

But at least I did find a problem and let Ranch know so he could fix it. btw: Thanks for the hat (but I really just want to get thru the quest!).

consider the hat incentive to keep trying because that messed up teleporter was probably what kept you from continuing and winning. I had moved it earlier today to let stuck people through and.. well.. thank God you told me about it!

catching the ghost is not the problem, it's getting the game to register the ghost, I've got as many as 52 ghost and it still said I have failed to get 45 ghost.

Cat - that may be because you are "catching" other team players when they are in ghost form. Unfortunately, within all quests (official VMK as well as player created) those ghosts do not count into your total. *I learned that the hard way!!

If you decide to try again, keep that in mind - you should try to only capture true ghosts, not other players... Did that make any sense??

Yes - I agree with Dizpinfriend . A few of us worked with several people over the weekend to help them meet their ghost catching goals for the quests.

You cannot clean other people - those ghosts do not count. So in your quest for 45 ghosts, we would team you up with 3 other players - so you play alone on one side and the 3 players against you. Then you catch your ghosts - in most cases we made sure that the other person was well above their goal - at least 60 ghosts or more - just in case they cleaned another player.
