Yesterday was the worst day for me. I had the bad headache like before. I knew what to expect but I still almost caved in ate some carbs to get rid of the pain!!!

The worst is over and it is now onward and downward!!!

Also someone from Curves called me and asked if I was interested in joining!!! My neighbor had given them my name several months ago (not sure why it took so long). I am going tomorrow to do the initial stuff and then I will do the free 3 visit thing before signing up.

Good for you for getting through reinduction. I can't do the induction phase at all so my hat goes off to those who can.

Good for you, Shelia!! :D It would have been so easy to gove in and eat some carbs yesterday, but you stuck it out and made it through!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: Pretty cool about the call from Curves, too, since you had been interested in joining.

It's all downward from here, girlfriend!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Yay! That is great news!! I am so happy, Induction was the hardest part for me as well!! Good luck with the rest!! Onward and Downward!! :)

Please explain the headaches.

I started induction on Monday. Tuesday evening I had a dull headache that has returned tonight. Is this normal? How long shoud I expect it to last?

It is a part of the carb withdrawal. Some people have no problem...others feel like they have the flu...others like me have a severe headache for a couple of days.

Usually by day 4 all those symptoms are gone and then you do not crave the carbs. It WILL pass.

Yup, day 4 here too, and I woke up this morning without even hitting the snooze button! I feel so much better already, it is amazing. I could feel that I was in ketosis. That is a good feeling, it always makes me want to stay in it. Sometimes I wonder why I go off plan, cause I always feel lousy when I do! Anyway, I am back on track ~onwards and downwards!

I'm glad for you! Now you're over the toughest hump, so things should go back into the groove you had going this fall...down, down, down.

So how's your DH's healthy lifestyle going? Is he going through induction, too, with you? You two are an inspiration to WISH!

At day seven here.............and yep, I got the headache too a little while ago. Totally normal. It's so normal for me, that I would think I was doing something wrong if it didn't happen.

Jeanne, couldn't agree with you more. Over the holidays, when I was a "bad" girl, and I would have a blood sugar swing, I wanted to kick myself in the backside. Stupid, stupid, stupid......why do I go off of this plan. I feel lousy when I do. In fact, besides the withdrawl headache for a day, I feel GREAT during induction.

--CALIFLADY...yep..dh started back when I did.He never really went through the withdrawal though.

Good for you guys! I had to go back to Induction after the holidays, too. I can't tell you how much I put on during the holidays because my weight fluctuated so much, (as my appetite did!) Getting back on Induction was a relief. Fortunately, I do not get "the" headache. I am now 1 pound less than before Christmas, so I am delighted.

I have to say, even when I was eating sugar and other carbs, I still didn't eat as much as in other yearS. Good for me, too!

Mum4Jenn--Great job making it thru induction...I was thinking of you when I was on day 4...Jan 4th!! oooohhh...the pain of the all day headache!! I lost the 3.5 I gained from the holidays, and now I am on my way, too!!
I have heard great things about Curves--great news!!! Good Luck!!

I've made it through re-induction too! I didn't realize exactly HOW far off plan I'd gotten! :earseek: Re-induction for me was worse than induction the first time! I really felt awful for a few days, but it felt good because I knew what was happening was that I was in carb withdrawal & that's exactly where I wanted to be. Looks like there's a group of us ready to move onward & downward!

Good work for all of you that have made it through induction. I understand that it can be very trying. Weigh to go! and, like Sheila said, "Onward and DOWNward!"
