Stephen has been in Mexico all week building houses in Juarez for a high school mission trip. He'll be home tomorrow. I hate being alone. I hear every little noise, and think it's a burglar. I made it through the week, and only one more night alone. I think I may go see Home on the Range tonight, eat popcorn (Stephen hates even the smell of popcorn) and stay up late reading.

Any one else hate being home alone, or is it just me?

I hate being alone! It doesn't really creep me out but I just plain don't like to be alone. I have friends who relish a night without husbands or kids but I can't do it.

Good luck making it through one more night and enjoy the time when he returns. Sounds like a great guy for what he's doing.

DH's extra part-time job requires him to travel occasionally, and at the end of March he had two school sessions (4 nights each) in Indianapolis, Indiana and then Bettendorf, Iowa. He got home from the second school session and immediately left (with our son) the next morning for 4 more nights to go to the NASCAR race in Bristol, Tennessee.

I have to say this time it didn't bother me as much with him being gone as it has in the past, must be I'm just getting more used to it. The first time he was gone I absolutely HATED it. Daytime wasn't so bad, but at night when he wasn't "in his chair" was hard. I really missed him. :(

I have to give women a lot of credit when they have husbands that are in the service and have to be gone months at a time, I don't know how they handle it.

But anyway, tc here's a  for you!!

I used to live alone all the time and it really didn't bother me. Now that I'm married, I can't stand to be home alone. If I didn't have my german shepherd with me, I think I would freak out.

I have a friend whose husband travels all the time. The first two years of their marriage, he was gone as often as he was home. That would drive me crazy. Stephen is my best friend. We enjoy each others company so much. I am so blessed that the only time he's away from me is high school mission trips and camps. I have even gone on those on occasion, so I'm not alone.

I was asked to go to WDW with friends who won an award from his company, but had a 9 week old baby they couldn't leave home. They also could not take him to the events. I went as their nanny, all expenses paid. I was so excited. But when I got there, WDW just wasn't the same w/o Stephen. I wished I could enjoy it alone like I hear so many others, but I couldn't. Every where I went, I thought of him. I'd call him and tell him where I was, what I was eating, what show I just saw, and was so filled with loneliness it was amazing.

I had a friend reprimand me for not having my own life. I told her, it's not my life, it's our life, and I like it that way.

It's been so long since I've had a night alone, I can't remember.

You'll make it, Kelli.

I've gotten used to it actually. DH is usually gone a couple of days every week. This week it was Tues - Thurs. Don't get me wrong, I miss him terribly, it's just gotten easier to be at home by myself.

He's home all of next week!! yeah! :)

DH has only beenaway 2 nights and the 1st night I was such a wreck the 2nd night I had my mom stay over! I HATE it!

OMG, Sonya, Samuel is getting so cute!!!!

I kind of actually like being alone in the house!

Having an 80 plus pound dog around helps though, in regards to hearing little bumps and such. If there is a cat walking on the lawn, he knows it without even looking out the window first! His sense of smell is unbelievable!

I probably wouldn't like it all the time, but every now and then is nice! ::yes::

I hate it! Fortunately, DH is only gone 1 night every 3 months or so. I stay awake until I am so tired my eyes won't stay open.
