I went and decorated for Christmas tonight. Normally wait until Dec.1 but decided to do it early this year.

i plan to do the same here. i just will not have the time to do it later. i am working over 60hrs a week from now until new years at least. possibly longer. if i get a day off i will have other things to do, like catching up on laundry and housework. ugh. so tonight it is.

Oh how neat... we were surprised how many Christmas lights we saw up on the way home from my grandparents house tonight.

My kids and hubby are doing a major clean up of the house while i'm out shopping tomorrow and then I need to prepare the Christmas stuff and where we are putting the tree on Sat and should be able to get the tree and decorate it on Sunday. We usually decorate the first weekend after Thanksgiving, you are paying an arm and a leg for a tree, you might as well have time to enough it!

I started taking my village houses out yesterday....I'm ready for the Christmas decorations!!!

I always take off the week of Thanksgiving and pick the warmest day of the week, that's when my outside lights go up!! Usually the day before Thanksgiving is the day I clean and decorate the whole inside of my house....It's so cozy and cheerful in here tonight!!! I love Christmas decorations!!

I put our living room tree together. Not decorated, mind you...just assembled. That's enough for me today. Whew!

Lots of folks in our neighborhood are fully decorated. Makes me feel a little guilty. Also seems a little strange when I remember that we used to put our tree up ONE week before Christmas when I was a child.
