Well, Here We Are....First AKV Stay

We arrived this afternoon. We are staying in a 1 Bedroom Kidani Villa. LOVE IT! Check-in was a breeze, the CMs here are all super-nice and we love our room.

We have had two issues, but seriously, it is not a big deal. Our shower in the master bath has a very slow drain. I will let them know tomorrow and they can come and fix it while we are in the park. We were told we have a pool view, but it is really a parking lot. But honestly, it is not a big deal and is not affecting our vacation one bit.

We went to Disney Studios today and there were no crowds. For TSMM, we waited 40 minutes for the first ride and 20 minutes for the 2nd ride...there were no fast passes so we were in stand-by. Everything else was a walk-on.

Anyhow, just wanted to say that we all LOVE AKV.

I'm completely jealous. I absolutely love Kidani. I wish you a fantastic stay. Enjoy every moment - especially with the crowds so low. 20 minutes for TSMM?!? Insane!

Very glad you are liking Kidani!! Go out and view the animals in the evening, it's a different experience than seeing them during the day.

Yes it is! I made a trip to the shop one night and decided to walk down to the fire pit....OH MY!!!!! The were so many animals laying on the ground near the firepit...the closest must have been 15-20 feet. Then, out of the darkness came walking 5 giraffes. It was absolutely amazing! It was our last night there and I was so sad that DH & DD were back in the room and missed out on such an amazing sight.

I wonder if they are still having trouble with the computer upgrade when they told you it was a pool view, but you had a parking lot view.

We know it's random luck to get savannah, pool or parking lot view in a Value Studio at Jambo. We were told twice at check in that we were given the Savannah view (and they made a big deal out of it saying how lucky we were) . But when we got to the room it was a parking lot view. We called to ask about this and they said their computers had that room as a savannah view.

Glad you like Kidani. We love it there and the Cms are always great. Have fun,. Spend some time at the pool bar. The Cms there are very nice. Have fun!

Loved our stay at Kidani this October. Have to add that we had the same problem with the shower, so I think they are all like that. Loved how big it was, but by the time you were done, you were standing in water.

Today we went to EPCOT. Rode Soarin twice with a 10 minute wait both times - MAX. We rode Test Track 3 times - it was a walk-on each time. Spaceship Earth was a walk-on as well as Maelstrom, Nemo, Gran Fiesta and everything else we did.

The bus service here at AKV Kidani is wonderful. I am sure this time of year is a big reason why, but this is totally a wonderful first stay.


Thanks for the tip about going out to see the animals at night. We will need to give that a go.
