We were thinking about how to surprise our kids (10/8 Boys, 5 Girl) about the cruise...so we have been setting them up saying that since we are so blessed, they really didn't need anything for Christmas and that we'd give their gift money to charity. We taped a video message to them...."we gave a couple of hundred dollars to a local family and then 'adopted' a soldier." After that we said, that was their gifts this xmas and all we had to give them was the gift of song - so we sang a couple of xmas songs to them - jingle bells, santa claus is coming to town, etc..
We taped their faces and they were horrified! We then said one more song before we left...and sang "who's the leader of the band...MIC-(SEE YOU at DISNEY!...KEY (WHY - CUZ WE LOVE YOU!) MOUSE!!!!!! We are going to disney.....totally blank stares! We confirmed it was real, we were going to WDW and talked about it for a long time...last thing we did was give them the disney DVD and they said 'what's this for' and we said..so you are familiar with the ship we are going on when we leave DISNEY WORLD!
They were crazy with excitement....I guess we teased them alot but in the end they were really excited....sorry for the long note!
