Well, heck......

So sorry to hear that!! My friend just caught COVID and it hit her hard... we *think* she'll be good to go by my dates (a little more than 5 weeks from now), but she's worried she might still be low energy by then.

I always get really worried I'm going to get stuff deleted so please please be respectful and super on topic if anyone answers this.... has anyone noticed any masking still at Disneyland recently? My friend and I obviously don't expect any by others, and aren't looking for others to protect us, I'm just sort of self conscious since the world is "back to normal" if I've got one on out in public... are the two of us going to be the only ones, or is it still an occasional sight to see?

Like others, I am a local and I have seen people still masking at Disneyland. We don't typically mask but on a recent visit, my mom had a lingering cough so I handed her one to use and she did all day. I knew she wasn't contagious (neither my dad nor I got what she had) but others would not have known that. She got no looks or comments at all. It seems lately I have seen more cast members wearing them again and a very slight uptick in the number of guests wearing them. I always have some in my backpack just in case.

We are flying to WDW tomorrow and will wear the masks on the plane.

I wear a mask at Disneyland every visit. In June, I did not see anyone else masking. No one gave me a second thought, look or comment, unlike the local Vera Bradley store (located in a very conservative county near Denver), where the sales women harassed me unending, questioning why I was wearing a mask. Was I sick? Had I been sick? Was I immuno-compromised? Now, I have an anxiety condition that when I perceive people attacking me, it’s a huge trigger. I didn’t say anything more, did my return and got out.

Why do people feel they have the right to question ANYTHING another individual chooses to do? Seems like people nowadays have no sense of boundaries.

I say, do what you feel comfortable doing. You have to do what you feel protects you.

Lots of thieves will wear masks when they come in to shoplift. Not sure if that is why you were getting questioned but it could have been.

Very cool to hear guys! I know it's mainly all up in my head (oh gosh, I'm standing out in the crowd, etc etc) but I won't let that change what I (or my friend) personally wants to do :)

My mother went through serious leukemia treatments for about two years during COVID and I learned a LOT just about reduced or no immune system, so yeah, there could be hundreds of reasons people need to have a mask on. Also, not getting even just a common cold from my flight that starts my vacation, priceless, lol. One year I did and man it was so much money spent when I was feeling like 40% of my self.

We'v
Oh, I am SO sorry! I've had to cancel a number of trips over the years due to kids' illnesses, injuries etc. I know how terribly disappointing it is.

The only silver-ish lining is that when you replan it you'll know what hotel, ADR etc you want. It's not quite as hard as planning the whole thing from scratch. I hope you can get there soon!

Hopefully your daughter has a quick recovery and you stay healthy.
We've been numerous times (but never with Halloween decor) so we will just plan another trip!

We wore masks when we were there in April this year. When we were inside or any time it just felt too crowded. Nobody batted an eye.

:rotfl2:I am 👵🏻. She and I were only two in store as it had just opened. I had my return in my hand. No, I really think she was just being rude. But nice try, Howry…you made me giggle.🤭

Just chiming in to reassure you that if you’re wearing a mask, no one will care. While most aren’t wearing masks, I have never been harassed or even gotten a dirty look for anyone at disneyland. I don’t mask all the time anymore but still will indoors and in large crowds. I am the caregiver for my parents who are immunocompromised and I can’t afford to get them sick. Not just for Covid but any type of infection could bring them down.

Just waiting at the airport after leaving our Disney hotel and there are plenty of staff and guests wearing masks and plenty of people coughing and sneezing without masks (and I'm taking a cough home as a souvenir).

I hope it’s just allergies and nothing worse…🤞🏻
