Well, Garrett's First Communion is over! (Pictures)

He did wonderfully! (I was a nervous wreck!) He walked right up with his hand held properly, took the wafer in his mouth, did the sign of the cross, and went and knelt back at the pew just like he was supposed to. Anyway, I have some pictures. Unfortunately, I don't seem to have a very good digital camera, so they are not the best quality at all.

Congratulations, Garrett- no more crossing your arms at communiion. You get to join the grownups because YOU are so grown up!! What a milestone. And congratulations to Mom! What a handsome young man!!!! This is such a memorable moment....next thing it will be confirmation, and then.......ooh, I don't want to think about it!

I LOVE his banner- do the kids design them in your parish, or the moms (that's quite a controversy in our parish!?!). I so enjoy first communion.....they are all so sweet and innocent and earnest. My older girls had theirs years ago, but I still get to enjoy First Communion Mass every year as a choir member. I will be accompanying the children's choir this year at ours. Next year is my little guys turn, then just one more little girl to go! Hang on tight mom, they grow up so fast....

Again, congratulations. He is one handsome dude!
