Well, DH accepted the job

Things are going to be mighty rough financially around here for the next year, but he had to get out. Matter of fact, he was told he'd be in the next wave of lay offs in July. He doesn't start for a month,,,so he's hoping anything that pays better will pop up between now and then. Don't get me wrong, I am VERY grateful he has a job...just stressing how to cover $500 less a month.
This pretty much knocks our 12/05 WDW hopes out the window. Maybe if the sun had popped out just for a minute today I would have felt better. It's like a gloomy sign.
O.K. pity party over....at least DH can relax a bit, even tho he's still searching...he was one strap away from a straightjacket!

Pam, I'm sorry it's not what he was looking for. A lot can happen in 1 month, and even if nothing else comes up, he still has a job waiting for him. Hang in there.

Pam, I'm sorry and I do understand.

I started doing eBay to make up for the lack in funds I've been through this past year of unemployment. It has been a struggle but we have made it.

Vacations are always the first thing that bites the dust when you struggle. Last year while I was able to go I DID. I used my eBay funds to finance my trips and it kept me from going loony while looking for a job.

I said it before and I'll say it again, it is AMAZING what you can do when you set your mind to it and God walks you through. I make $500 less a WEEK than I used to but I do MORE with it.

We are going through the same thing in a way. We know that there is a layoff in the next few months at my company. We are closing down the site and moving to VA. But, ironically, jobs options are opening up quite a bit right now. I am interviewing once or twice a week. It looks like I will be able to be selective in what I choose. Last month was slow, but things are happening. Keep looking over the next month. Look on Monster.com, careerbuilder.com, etc. Get your name out there. He maybe a "wanted man" in the next few weeks. Don't give up your trip just yet. Good Luck!

I know that since a layoff is in the works for your dh that this is the best thing but I'm sorry they didn't offer him more money and I'm hoping something better turns up for your dh in the next month.
