Well, dang, that was fast (tax refund)!

I filed our state and federal tax returns Saturday night and the state refund was in our account (direct deposit) today, wow! We should have our federal by next Friday.

I all I want to know is how did you get your W-2 from your employers so quickly. We are still waiting for DH's to come in. All of the companies that we have ever worked for have waited until the last second to mail them out, so that puts us at mid-Feb to start ours.

I don't know, we got lucky this year I guess. DH's old company always mailed them out the last day of Jan before. Maybe since he is working for another company now they do those earlier?

We don't get ours until next Tuesday the 31st. There is an H&R Block office 2 minutes from my home and is open until 9 pm on Tuesdays so I will stop by there on the way home next week to get them done. Last year, I did the same thing and had both my federal and state returns by Feb 10 or 11th.
