I am on the verge of being ready to depart!
My toiletries bag is packed with fresh versions of all the essentials (toothpaste, sunblock, etc...) All of which will be dumped there prior to our return to make that much more room for souvenirs.
However, I came to a sad conclusion today. I need another suitcase. When my older son and I did WDW we made it through 5 days with one suitcase. I figured that suitcase and an the kiddie pilot suitcase I got him a couple years later would do fine. And they would, if we weren't going to the beach.
What kind of idiot hauls towels, a beach blanket, sand toys, and water toys cross country???? This kind. Sigh. Again, the toys can all be dumped if we need more room coming back...but I can't get all the beach stuff crammed into the small case. Guess I make a stop at Kmart tomorrow.
I have a few pages to add to my notebook. I'm sure nobody else is as anal about travel as I am. I've printed off the confirmations for our tickets, room, and limo...just in case anything gets lost, I'll have the confirmation for replacements. I have menus for a dozen restaurants/food counters. Coupons for McDonalds. A copy of the ART schedule (I was a bit surprised to see they shut it down for a couple hours every afternoon...that could cause some trouble if you weren't aware ahead of time!). Suggestions of where to sit for all the shows...lists of fun things to do...phone numbers for internet friends we're meeting up with...a print-out of my address book so we can send postcards...
I still need to go print the Anaheim bus schedule...and maybe I'll have lists of everything I may need to know while I'm there.
My "to do" list is short...I need water shoes and my older son needs sneakers.
At my grocery store stop mid-week I'll grab some individual packages of snack crackers and cookies.
This is a week of insanity at work...the last week of school for everyone...so I may not be back online until Friday.
If anyone here has a trip planned for mid-late June and would like for their children to receive a Disney postcard, they can send me a private message! I'll be sure to stop back and get those printed out, too!
