Hi. We have CRT booked for a late dinner but after the reviews and limited menu, i think it would be great to be in the castle, get the free pic, and go there and all but i don't know if that is the best use of 2 TS credits.

If we were to go to Citricos, Artists Point, CG, etc, would it take way more time than just going to CRT b/c we'll be in MK.

Any info on best 2 TS place in area of MK and travel time would be great!! thanks!
:yay:

I want to know this too!

In theory, nothing is going to be as quick as something located directly in the park you're in.

That being said, any of the signatures on the monorail line are simply a monorail ride away, and heading to the WL is as simple as a bus or boat. Not a great deal of travel time involved, if you plan it right and catch the monorial/bus/boat easily, you know? The only forseeable flaw to this plan is if you have to wait for one of those modes of transportation.

For me, personally, I loved the experience of doing CRT...once. I don't feel the need to go back, and I love the other signatures, like Citricos and California Grill. I guess, do you want to take time to do those instead?

If you're looking for food that is worth 2 TS, you won't get it at CRT. CRT is about the characters and the atmosphere, not the food.

California Grill is the closest and the fastest to get to, as you can walk to the Contemporary from MK and do not have to wait for transportation. It's also the most difficult to get an ADR for, and the only signature restaurant (other than CRT) where a credit card hold is required in case you don't show up.

You could also access Narcoosees via the motor launch (boat) to the Grand Floridian. The boat drops off at a dock right next to the restaurant. You could do Citricos that way too..but you have to walk from the dock to the main building. The monorail might be preferable for that one - but be aware it will make 3 stops before getting to GF.

I agree that everyone should experience CRT once, if possible. If you think this will be your only chance, don't change it. If it's only 2 adults, & you hope to return with kids someday, I'd switch to a Signature restaurant at a MK resort. I'd choose based on which menu you prefer.

well i'm leaning towards doing the castle atleast once, and i just remembered that tip's included. it would be 30$ extra to choose another 2 TS place.

For food questions, I always think you should read what you can, but in the end, you have to decide what's most desirable for you to try. Everyone's tasebuds are different. I LOVE the food at CRT (however breakfast is the only meal we have done. We started going before characters were at lunch and dinner, and loved breakfast, so we have made it our family tradition.) I hear people all the time say it was no good, I have never been disapointed. We hear people say they love ABC Commisary and we hated it so much, the food made us feel sick and we actually got our money back (manager agreed the food was poor quality, maybe it was an off day, but it left us not wanting to try it again.) Anyway, just a thought. For our trip we are doing some family favorites (CM-- twice, CRT, WCC, 50s PT) mixed with some restaurants which seemed to get good revies and the menus appealed to us (Kona, LeCellier, Akerhaus), and hopefully we will be pleased. Someday I hope to try Cali Grill, and if the food is all people say it is, great, and if I don't care for it, I will focus on the beautiful views and atmosphere. Anyway, it's just a thought, but while I think the advise here is wonderful, in the end you have to do what feels right for you as we all have different likes and dislikes. No matter what, enjoy your trip and your meals.
