With snow blowing in the air here in Chicago, we do think about our little feathered and furry friends who stop by for a free meal. Nice to see them again.

I have two bird feeders. In the cooler months I put two scoops of bird seed in both of them a day. I would fill them full but the birds can clean out a full feeder is a day. One of my feeders also has two compartments for the suet blocks of seed. And the squirrels can help themselves to my pile of black walnuts!
 

Looks like our yard, Dan!! We are avid bird and squirrel feeders and have several feeders throughout the yard. Just bought a new one for DH today at the Christmas Bazaar!!:D
 
We have a squirrel proof feeder and it actually works. I love seeing the cardinals there in the winter but I don't care for the rodents.
