We are getting married on Monday, May 22, 2006. We are flying in on Thursday. All of the guests are arriving by Sat PM. I wanted to do a small welcome gathering. We are already doing the Illuminations Dessrt Party the evening of our wedding and rehearsal dinner @ Ohana's Sunday Evening. Any idea when? where? ETC?

Are you all staying at the same resort? And how many people are you talking about? I always liked the idea of going to Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summerland with a group, but that wouldn't really allow for everyone to hang out together.

35 people & we are staying at 3 diff resorts.

were having our welcome dinner sunday for our guests at dtd at the rainforest cafe on a private terrace. its costing us like $2k for 50 guests, meal = appetizer, combo entree, dessert & non alcoholic drinks. i think dtd is a good location for events like this as its easy for all your guests to get to by the dtd bus from their individual resorts. i know fultons also has a private room.

i would actually consider switching your rehearsal dinner to saturday so you can save on costs & have your rehearsal dinner & welcome dinner for your guests in one event. just have your wedding party at the rehearsal before the dinner. then everyone has a free day to go to the parks, relax, go swimming, you & your fi would have some alone time, etc. if what youre looking for is more time with your guests maybe consider a day after brunch ie garden view lounge at the grand floridian $500 minimum, breakfast can be affordable at most regular restaurants too.
