Evening, ya yas!

Got home a while ago, but DH decided to have some Kona coffee with dinner, and he was hogging my computer, LOL! That's why the tax refund is buying me a new laptop! He can have this one (that he got off of ebay for me 'just because'), and he'll be happy to have his very own. Yes, he knows I'm planning on a newer one. He bought a truck with last years refund, so this years is all mine, well, mine and the half dozen doctors we owe money!

Liz, glad surgery went okay. Don't go walking on those feet too soon, okay? A good friend just had surgery for the second time in 6 months because she went and walked too soon .

Kristy, get that sleep, girl.

Todd, now that DH is in bed, I'll sneak you some of the tons of chocolate he got as tips...we don't need that stuff in the house, he'll gain back all of the 75 pounds he's lost since he became a mailman! The Godiva, on the other hand, is mine and I am not sharing !

Poohzanne's bar is open...daquiris, rumrunners, hurricanes and other frozen drinks our specialty. Don't ask for any with tequila though...I hate it and hubby does strange things when he drinks it. Pammy, I can make you nonalcoholic versions of all of those...a cool, frosty drink goes well after a visit to the sauna.

Beth, Boo won't need the crib for at least a year and a half

Boo, I don't wanna be a bridesmaid. One, we haven't known each other that long and two, it would keep me away from the cocktail hour, LOL!

Tara, didya see the new NASCAR merchandise? WooHoo, we're excited here. My SM said 'who thought this would sell?' I guess she doesn't realize that Virginia has the highest per capital nascar fan base. Mickey needs to be driving a Ford, though...it looks like a Chevy on that picture...can you tell I know WAYYYY to much about Nascar? Thanks, hubby Since I'm not a big tv watcher, I end up seeing all the motorsports I think we can possibly watch..

DH did come home from the hospital yesterday and then slept and slept and slept. But, he is feeling much better.

It is soooo good to be home and in my bed. I still have remains of the nerve block so I am still happy....but very soon here I am not going to be as happy...although I have some great pain killers. Greg is going to bring home an extra laptop from work so I will be able to chat...for now sitting at the puter is not so fun!!! And man, you guys sure talk a lot in a day!!! Anyway, I wanted to say good morning and Happy New Year!!! Again, thanks for all the good thoughts.....and don't worry about me walking too soon... I have a HUGE splint on my leg that I can't take off and the cute doc won't see me until I am ready to have my stiches out in 14 days....so I will be crutching it until then.... Picking out wedding rings was a lot of fun and also very hard. I saw a lot of very pretty rings. I wanted 1 carat but the ring I have is smaller. I want to say its .5 princess cut (the square one) with baguettes around the band. I found another I liked much better after I got mine but it was $4000 so I said no thanks. The practical side of me just couldnt justify spending that much.
Poohzanne is getting a laptop! That is great. I would like to have one too but it wont be very soon I dont think..
I love wedding planning. I planned ours. Of course it wasnt a huge event, maybe about 130 people. I think they were all part of dh family. His extended family is very big and mine is not.

Don't be in too big a hurry to get married......take your time (like Jeannie ).

I want a new ring! What should I look at? I'm partial to colored stones, the darker ones. Sapphires are a favorite but I'm a January baby and love garnets too.
Haven't had a new ring in about 15 years.
Maybe next Christmas.

I'm taking down all the decorations today and then I will feel so good. Everything will be clean and back to "normal" for the start of the new year.

Liz, you take it easy now, ya hear! We want those WDW plans to happen soon!

Todd I opted for smaller, less expensive ring because I knew I could pay for my honeymoon with difference in the price. Sure dh would have bought me the more ex*****ve one but the practical side of me won out. However it was my second marriage and I already had 2 kids so I was used to being practical. However if I married him first and had no kids I probably would have gone for the more expensive ring. But I agree the best thing I got was dh he is great.

Okay, still rushing to get out of here early But I saw Todd's comment.

Truthfully Todd, we were pretty much broke in college and I paid for my ring. I had more money than Luis did and I picked it and paid for it. He got it after it was sized and gave it to me in the "right" manner. Don't regret doing that at all! Most jewelry I buy myself. Currently I have a diamond band that he got me for our anniversary and all three other rings (sapphire, Mickey and engagement ring, which is an amethyst that I always wear) I bought myself. So what do you think is more important to me
