Hey All,

Sorry I have been so scarce but getting up at 5 AM has been taking its toll on me. I have to get up that early to get my eldest up, ready for school, and, to drive him to the bus stop. Then I come back home, finish getting the younger one ready for school and drive him to school. Then I go to work ROFL!!

Plus this is the week of major rehersals for the play the boys are doing tomorrow. It is really coming together and my eldest is doing an awesome job on his part and his solo. We have gotten so many comments on how good he is and how wonderfully he does his solo. We are so very very proud of him. My youngest is in the choir and doing well also.....if we could just get him to do the choriography. My eldest was like that at that age too though. We are just very proud of him for even getting up there and doing it for two performances in front of the entire congregation. Definitely something my dh and I could never do with our stage fright. We are getting better about it though because we have done so many things with the kids that have put us in front of the congregation many times lately.....we just havent had to say anything ROFL!

I'm kind of bummed tonight. As some or all of you may have heard me say, my beloved pianoman Scotty is on vocal rest. He's been off two weeks so far, and he's not scheduled at the bar the next two weeks. He's only allowed to talk one hour per day, and it has to be in a very low tone.

I've been sending out lots of good thoughts and prayers for him for a speedy recovery from the throat ailment, but I'm nervous for him. He is so good at what he does, and he really loves performing. I really hope that this problem can be solved for him.

I've been praying to St. Blaise for him (St. Blaise is the Catholic church patron saint for people with throat ailments), and my parish priest told me to also pray to St. Cecelia, the patron saint for musicians.

I really hope he gets better soon.

DD is at a Steve Miller Band concert with her BF.
DS is down at Scout Camp for an OA weekend.
DH got home late Thursday night from a 3 day business trip to Detroit. His back went out and he had to drive home feeling very miserable. He got it put back in place yesterday, but he's still sore and not sleeping well at night..... I am playing the role of Nurse Nan. I don't think I will win an Academy Award for my performance......

Pam Im so sorry to hear about your dh. I don't play Nurse Nan well either with my dh. I figure I keep moving when hurting or sick so he should too. I know I know wrong way to feel.

Okay, I'm sorry i asked for some one to take my kid. why? you might be asking? Well, Kimmie mentioned sickies in her house and lo and behold the 14 month old has been running a 103 fever all day long! Oy vey!!

I guess if he still has it tomorrow I will take him to the urgent care and see what is up with him! I'm thinking it is probably his ears! Good thing we didn't make it to the water park this week

Karen...hope that scotty gets better soon.

DH did not sleep well again, tossed and turned and moaned all night. Nurse Nan is very tired and grumpy. Plus, since DS is at camp, I am on potty and walk patrol with Gunny.

Didn't sleep well last night Sadly I loved what we ate, but it didn't love me. In addition to being very stuffy from something. Luis went off to church while I just woke up. I might try to hop in the shower so I can join them for lunch... just needed the extra sleep as I was up half the night.

Thanks Pam But I didn't bring my swim suit, so I was just slightly damp from the splashing they all did that came over the side. I honestly couldn't bring myself to wear the only suit that fits me in front of them all.

I have a family reunion this afternoon at my sister's house. Even my uncle Bob from Arizona is going to be there. It will be nice to see him. He's had a tough year. He's been battling prostate cancer. He had surgery, and he's starting radiation next month.
