Pam - we have had 7 wild turkeys in the back yard every morning - thankfully my DH is not getting any ideas ...yet!!!

Gee.... and I thought you were going to pay my DH and DS $1,500 to send your DH on a hunting excursion for Christmas......

John - we have apple trees in our front yard - the deer love to come up and munch to their heart's content.

Yeah, Elaine and Nancy - I was a bad, bad girl! I also went to the BaB website and did some shopping there as well. DS will be getting a Beagle BaB dressed in the plaid hunter's coat and hat! (He just told me over the weekend that he was bummed that I had never bought him his very own Bab!)

My daughter just called to tell me that my wife just hit a deer a few minutes ago after picking her up from physical therapy. Nobody was hurt (if you don't count the deer who was subsequently hit by several more cars). Only minor damage to our car. I am totally surprised because Sue can spot a deer 100 yards away. I guess that I'm glad that Sarah decided not to drive home from PT and that she let her mom (the seasoned veteran) do the driving.

John, sorry about the deer and the car. Glad it wasn't anything too serious! I didn't realize they would use that area like that. I guess I am just used to seeing them more out in "God's Land" than that!!

Hey All,

Got a call from the electrician. He was supposed to come out and look at the stack today to see if there was any wire damage. I havent heard from him since so I dont know if he made it out here or if this means its a big project that he has to do an estimate on. I guess I will know tomorrow. Kids went back to school today. Eldest has homework UGH! I forgot how nice two weeks without homework was LOL!!!

Well, I broke down and went shopping at Yankee online....used that code and got a new cute tart burner. (I need to start a book, so I stay off here ).

WOOOOOOFREAKINGHOOOOOO WEVE GOT POWER!!!!! It came on a little bit ago. Dh went out and checked the wires and they seem fine. We are still going to have the electrician come out and check it just to be on the safe side. OMG warm showers and REAL coffee!!! Im in heaven!!! Cable is back up too which is nice. I think we will all sleep a lot better tonight with the fans running now. Its not been real hot but warm enough to make it uncomfortable without a fan.

Well Im gonna go turn on my fav station and watch until I get tired. Have a GREAT night all!!!

Anyone know where I can get a Onyx Green Pearl hood for our 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport???

Seems that Bambi did more of a number on our van that Sue and Sarah first thought (although the damage is limited to the hood). I'm going to start hunting around the salvage yards here in Cleveland for a replacement hood because with a $500 deductible it hardly seems worth reporting the incident to the insurance company. Sigh.

Hi All.......

John...so sorry to hear about the Bambi incident - so thankful that only the van was hurt.

Pam - thhanks so much for the I can certainly use that!!
I finally talked to Chris last night - actualy I was working - he was sitting at the computer behind me and we started talking on line - then in person - then both of us were crying. He is adamant that he did not have anyone here - he says that all the "evidence" that we found were all things that he did.... I really want to believe him...but it's hard. And - just for the record - if any of you were thinking "what posessed them to let a 16 yr old boy stay home alone" - don't worry - I have been thinking the same thing - my gut told me not to.....but for once I did not plan everything and just tell my husband the details - I let him make the decision and went along with it - that's not to say that I am blaming DH either.....I guess I just feel more guilty than angry - is that normal??

Anyway - on a brighter note - I did start making my christmas list - who I have to buy for - etc. it's pretty short.....need ideas for the kids I think.....
