Dave, that I will never understand... serious price gouging I think... who can afford that kind of a house????

Hey gang,

Slow day around the boat!! Since i couldn't do any retali therapy in williamsburg, i went to Michael's instead. I went in to pick out ONE item for my 50% with my coupon. like that happened!! :teeth: I picked up ribbon, paper, another cutter, and an idea book! So I saved my 50% on one item and still spent a fortune! They know that's what you are going to do...those stoopid people forcing me to spend my money!!!! :rotfl:

Okay, so I'm gonna go play now!! bye for now!

Hi All,

Ugh what the heck else can happen??? We were having trouble with the generator this morning and it blew out my computer completely. I hooked up ds's computer and somehow he managed to flip the whole display 90 degrees to the point that I have to turn my monitor on its side to see anything. Im afraid to hook up the laptop because I dont want it blowing out a 1200 dollar system.

Elaine I didnt realize there was so much that goes on in TN. From talking to the people that came down from there it didnt sound like they got a lot of wheather related stuff.

Lily another reason we didnt hook up the generator to the fridge is dh and I have to work during the day and we wont leave the generator running without someone being home. In fact we wont even leave the generator chained and locked up outside when we are not home. There have just been too many problems with them being stolen and also blowing up. We had a house burn to the ground in our neighborhood from a generator blowing up.

We did a little shopping today after church. We briefly saw my ILs there when they came to the later service. I was cordial but not overly sweet. We did manage to find a battery operated lantern at Sports Authority and was able to get some more small propane canisters. We went to circuit city and got some new videos for the kidlets. You know you have watched the same ones too many times when you can do the dialogue to The Prisoner of Azcaban LOL!!! Had to get some cleaning supplies at Target and ran into the sister of dh's late aunt. She had a lot more damage at her house than we did. It was nice to see her. She is such a sweet lady. Now we are home and I dont feel like doing anything though I know I have to.

Well I guess I should get at the cleaning I have to do. I will checkin laters.

HUGS TO ALL!!! :grouphug:

Good afternoon... how is everyone?

Bonus tracks are good! Songs are good adn I admit I like the remix of "Cry Out To Jesus" a bit more
Excellent music. They've yet to record something that I didn't love. Nice to buy a CD and know you'll like the whole thing.

Why the heck is everyone wearing Todd's panties?

I saw the cutest little flamingo on page 139!

Suzanne, Evil dusty cheesey cheetos on the family members causing stress!!

Lily when will Ted be home?

Alan I enjoyed your Chick Fil A thread. Your girls have a great daddy.

Karen wants poptarts and vienna sausages. Okay, I'll see what I can do. :teeth:

 RM!!

Sherry can do WDW for FREE!? Wah! Not fair! :p

The Stephanie Plum series rocks!! I'm waiting for #11 to come out on paperback. Been wearing a path back to the E section in mystery at my local B&N. I keep hoping I've missed one of hers somewhere along the line, but alas no, so here I sit waiting. That's okay... been reading Son of a Witch (sequel to Wicked) while I wait. :) Pretty good book.

Glad to hear Chris is doing well Paula!

Pilot and Mrs. AA look wonderful! How are the shin splints?

A stabbing over CANDY!?! Oh my!! :(

What happens to Padme? I can't remember.

I've seen much worse fashions I would rather girls take a stand on than T-shirts with a very light hearted blonde joke.
That deserved a second posting. ::yes::

The guys are out doing the air soft war thing with a gang of fellow air soft loonies. They'll come home tired, hungry, exhausted and very very happy. :)

Kimmie, Stehpanie Plum. I've read #1, waiting for 2 and 3 to arrive in the mail. I have a nice fairy sending them to me. (Thanks Liz)

Ted gets home next weekend sometime. I think late Sunday or maybe Monday. Sigh.

Karen, ohhhh, Generator 101. I didn't think about the hazzards at all. Eek. Glad you all have a handle on that.

JRKaren, good luck with the "shopping" and I hope it is not too stressful. I've heard of those nasty prices.

Sigh again, every time DH leave something goes wrong. It's cold showers all around still. DSs replaced the thermal coupling, but the darn thing won't remain lit. So they are not sure what the next step should be. It's fun around here.

I made it to the trail this afternoon. I did 14 miles in some wind and just a bit of rain. It went pretty smoothly, but it was kinda scary with the wind blowing when it kicked up.

Well -- we've had rain and severe wind off and on all day. Lost a big pine tree in the back yard.... it's right by Cocoa's pen and missed her by about 6 inches and landed up on the trampoline. :guilty:

DH, DS and the neighbor guy got the tree all cleaned up and chainsawed.

DS shot a turkey yesterday -- so we had a fresh turkey dinner today! :teeth:

Evening, folks! Just a quick hi between laundry loads and t-shirts.

Sorry to hear about the nasty weather in Ky and Ohio! Hope Todd and family are safe and well. Glad you were able to get your walk in today, despite the weather, Lily. Hope you sleep better tonight, Elaine.

Sherry, that is soooooo cool that you have family who can get you into WDW free!!! Think you'll be making trips more often, now?! :teeth:

Hey, Kimmie! just cuz! What's "air soft war" ?

Ummm, Pam? Why didn't you tell me earlier that fresh turkey was on the menu tonight?! I would have hung a left and headed north instead of home for BLTs!!

Jellybean, how was condo shopping? We just got an ad for a new condo complex: "Approx. 1,663 finished square feet of living space, priced at only $416,460" :earseek: And I used to drive by this new construction on my way to my former job. That turned out to be townhouses and the sign read "Affordable Luxury Townhomes from the low $600s" I'm wondering who thinks the low $600s are affordable!!!

We are house hunting here too, because the new management company is raising the rent by $200/month! Yes, housing costs have gone thru the roof here, but this management doesn't deserve one extra penny. I am so sick of coming home the day they've changed the furnace filter only to find the balcony door standing wide open! And the furnace is nowhere near there!! And do you think they'd offer to reimburse us for some of the astronomical electric bill we got for that month, trying to cool the outdoors??!! Well, ya'll keep your fingers crossed, because we've found a condo with a garage that will give us nearly 700 square feet more living space (a 3rd bedroom and a real dining room in addition to doubling the size of our living room) and the rent is only $125 more than we pay here. We've put in an application for a 2-year lease, but won't know for a few days whether or not we've been approved. It's the first time we've tried to rent from a private person and not sure what their standards are for approval. We've never been turned down at a regular apartment complex, so I have hope.

Gotta run--the pasta is done and I need to mix up the tuna and stuff for a tuna casserole. Dave goes back to working the early shift tomorrow and I'm not working a single night this week. But, I'm still trying to get food ready to just heat and eat, so Dave can get it started before I come home. Hope everyone has a great evening!

Pam, I thought of you as I was walking today.
I was so thrilled b/c I saw 6 wild turkeys romping about as I was romping about.
I also got to see a downy woodpecker fly right in front of me. Quite a sight.

Beth, you make dinners ahead of time? Wow! you work hard.

Quick hi... I thought I wasn't tired yet, but I think I was wrong... it hit quick!!!

Tara, great deals it sounds like at Michael's! I bet they did a lot to force ya too ;)

Karen, trust me, if there was a place in the US that didn't get much bad weather, I would move there! I would sooner deal with a hurricane though than tornadoes... far scarier as you get *no* warning. Oh and the flooding that would freeze immediately is another I would pass up. I would take snow over ice any day. Yuck stuff!

Kimmie, Todd sent us a link to free panties... many of us got those in the mail.

Btw, did anyone actually like the panties they got? I didn't care for them at all.

Air soft warn thingie? what's that?
In case you forgot (and I don't want to outright spoil) highlight right below for what happens to Padme
she dies in childbirth at the end of the movie

Lily, good luck getting hot water! Is it just time to replace the whole thing?

Pammy, so sorry about the tree... we weren't so lucky. I know it sounds bad, but we HATE that pine (evergreen) Whomever planted it was stupid as they put it about 5 feet from the driveway... it had to have the bottom branches cut of so you could get in the garage. Stupid poeple. We keep hoping a storm would kill it... but no, we have roof damage, other limbs down, bushes destroyed, but that blasted tree remains! It's over 50' so it will be costly to remove. But if it falls, it will fall in teh street... city will remove the majority then at least :teeth:

Bethie, good luck with the housing hunt!!!! That would tick me off to get a raise that high as well!

Oh and I heard where the tornados and major damage in KY was... fortunately it doesn't sound like it was close to Todd & Amanda fortunately. But given all the yuck around here today, I hope all is well still.

I guess this was longer than I thought... see y'all later!

You forgot to white out the spoiler, Elaine ;)

Beth....good luck. I hope you and Dave get the place you want.
Geoff and M'Cori may move if their rent goes up this time. Like you, too much for bad service.

I'm off early tonight to watch TV :wave2:

Nuh uh Nancy... see no edit ;)

though I don't like how i can still somewhat see it... oh well, I'm sure most people remember from Star Wars IV (New Hope) what happened to Padme :p

'nite all!

Hey gang,

Karen...good luck with the computer. glad you were able to be civil to the inlaws! congrats on the swan (Or was it the dolphin?) for thanksgiving.

Pam..sorry about the tree but congrats on dinner. Who got to do the honors of cleaning it??

JRKaren...how'd the house hunting go??

Elaine...I don't even know who Padame is, let alone how the spolier relates to her...and as for my Todd Panties...I liked them but apparently my *** is bigger than I thought b/c there were a little on the small side (I ordered medium!!), that made me realize why i don't wear thongs!! :rotfl:

Nancy...so did you buy anything on line today??

Lily...glad you got you walk in, but really 14 miles?? Couldn't you walk a little more...I mean like 14 miles is that far!! ;) Congrats...that's a long darn way!!

Kimmie...great ketchup! Don't remember what you said about yourself but I'm sure it was good :teeth:

Beth...sorry I didn't make it to Williamsburg today! I promise to go next weekend!! I did one page today using some ribbon I bought today. It is a pretty good page!!

Okay, I need to go to bed. I had planned to go to bed at 10 so that I could easily get up intime to go work out tomorrow...but I'm not tired yet so I'm still up! I think it will be a nyquil night!!

Take care gang!!

Oh come on Tiara, can you really trust what she says?

I drank 6 shots of wild turkey as I was romping about.

Really, are you going to believe her after that? :confused3

(Either way, Lily, it is an impressive work out! )

Thanks for the nice comments Kimmie. Smart Mr. Mom just remembered that Abigial had a blanket and nap mat sent home Friday for routine washing, so I'm up waiting to throw them in the dryer. :)

BTW, we watched the Veggie Tales "Lord of the Bean" this weekend. Got to admit that some of the send ups were pretty good. I'm sure you would appreciate what a hunk Larry is as Earofcorn.

Question for Suzanne - does the Disney Store carry the Storybook Ornaments Sets? Yesterday I found the Princesses Set, as well as the Sleeping Beauty one. I went to order them today - and the price went up $10.00 on EACH set! :faint: :guilty: They must have been on sale, and then it went off today. They were $24.95 each and now the price is $34.95. Then there was an almost $13.00 shipping charge. :guilty: If your store carries them - are they worth the price??

And - have you seen the 4 Princess fluted bell ornament set? Is it nice?

No, on both counts. Keep watching, though, they've been running various promos. If they were 24.95, they'll get back there sometime soon. I'll keep you posted on what shows up in my email box regarding sales. (I've spent way too much money with them, and they want more :) )

Back in the morning. Long, tiring day. We honored Ed's sister Nancy with beverages by the pool at Port Orleans-and made sure Ed had an alcoholic one on an empty stomach! Too funny. Got his sister on Soarin'-she loved it.

Had to jet back over to my store for a meeting-ended up being far longer than anticipated and I didn't get back over to property to pick up my men. So I have to go back really early in the morning!

Later, taters!

Suzanne

Just a bump from the depths of the boards!

I didn't make it to that open house yesterday. The paper had the wrong time, so I missed it :( It's OK, because I'm not quite ready to buy yet, and I didn't really want to live there anyways.

Awww, Karen. Sorry you didn't get to look.

I believe the prices up there. It's why I moved away from Long Island many years ago. You don't want to know the prices down here, they'll make you cry.

Off go get the menfolk in a few minutes.

Suzanne

Morning all! After being kept up late last night watching Luis' football game with him, I was tired and slept in!

Tara, Padme is Luke & Leia's mother... so most can figure out what happened to her based on Ep 4 ;)
Oh and I had similar issues with my panties as well. Actually the weird thing is the waist band & leg holes felt like they pushed in too much, yet the rest of the thing did eventually stretch out but wouldn't stay in place right. Really weird. And I didn't like how a size 5 shared with the XS size 4. Always fun to try for free though!

Suzanne, glad you got to enjoy some time at PO this weekend! I would've loved to be there... especially after the crap weather we got!

Karen, sorry you missed the open house. Luis and I used to love going to them though, whether we wanted to live in the area or could afford the house or not. Gave us a good idea on what we liked and didn't like!

Need to clean our room today and do some vacuuming. I think the rest of my day is a bit boring :)

Good morning Y'all-Y'alls

Are y'all done with the panty talk yet?
