Suzanne are you in Polk or Oceola county? They have tornado warnings going on up there. We are under a watch but they have actually seen them up in Polk and Oceola.

Nancy, I have no idea what the issue with Imagestation is... I've been trying the drop and drag and every time I try to drop a pic, IE shuts down. Stupid thing. I might give it a go one more time

Stay safe in FL... y'all experience what I hate the most about midwest... tornados. I'd truthfully rather live through a hurricane (and have while on vacation as well as hurricane like conditions here) than tornados!

Hey All,

We still have power. Its getting windy but no rain yet. Just got the 3 AM advisory and the storm is up to 120 mph so it is a Cat 3. They are expecting it to enter and exit as a Cat 3. I've slept on and off all night. The boys thankfully finally calmed down and went to sleep about midnight. We hadnt had the news on all evening because we didnt want it to frighten them. They were watching videos and such. I didnt turn it on until after they went to sleep. I cannot believe the stupid things people are doing down here. They are showing people out walking and actually surfing at 3 AM! Very few people in our area shuttered their windows. They are gonna be sorry they didnt.

Well Im gonna try and get some more sleep before the worst of this hits. I will try to checkin as I can if we have power. I have RM's phone number so if we lose power I will checkin with her when all is over.

When if I hear from Suzanne I'll let ya'll know. This storm is suppose to be off the east coast by 10 so, it's a good thing that it ismoving fast.

Better get a move on. Will be an interesting day here in Fl. My thoughts and prayers are with all in the path of Wilma.

Morning All,

Posting while I can. The power is iffy here at best. It keeps flucuating. I was just outside for a second and it is horrible out there. There are the tell tail blue flashes of transformers blowing up all over the city. Im shocked we havent totally lost power yet. This stupid thing strenghthen instead of weakened and is now a strong Cat 3 with winds of 125 mph. The wind is scary enough now. I cant imagine what it will be like when it really hits us. I just wish it was over and gone.

Well, Nancy I didn't make my deadline, I finished at 12:20! (And I still have captions and my column to write, but I do that every month!) Let's just that I am one wiped out pup! I had to take a 2 hour nap during the Steelers game yesterday!

AS soon as DS heads out the door to school, I have to get to work. It's so cold and rainy here that even the dog and cat don't to go out.

Offering a prayer for our Florida friends....

Nancy - I have decided to give my job "one last chance" I have my yearly reviw this week and have some good ideas to bring up - I am thinking positive. Did some soul searching and realized that I have not really been myself for 2 yrs since the car accident - lost conficdence - had stresses that I did not deal with properly - for what ever reason I really feel like things are turning around for the better.

Chris went to school this morning with just a slight headache - I'm wondering if me taking over managing his meds so that he takes them consistently is helping ??

So, no party Friday? What was up with that? Our party folks are poopers.

We had a great visit with my GF and her family. Will be making plans for "Butcherfest" with them in January. She may come up our way around Christmastime. We are already planning a Father's Day weekend for up here too. Whooo Hooo! I get the day off today. Loving my long weekend. Too rainy for me to want to go out and walk though. Probably will play in the gym sometime. Lots of domestic goddess stuff to do. Not sure what I will get on, but I am thinking of doing something.

Just a quick check in to let everyone know that I just heard from Karen.
They have been in a pretty scary situation for the past couple hours w/winds of 70-80 mph and gusts of 120. They lost power about 7am and are now in the tail end of this storm. Please keep your prayers and thoughts with Karen and family while they weather this thing out. Hopefully, it will be over soon for them.

BTW, Mrs. AA did arrive safely in New York. She is working with a trainer and empty harness today and doing basic obedience with some of the dogs on site.

She will actually meet her new guide dog tomorrow.

And more miraculously, the girls did go to school dressed and with their lunches today. Still, this is going to be a loooong 3 weeks.

Howdy to RM! Night number two went well on the futon. Night number three was a bit shakey though. He unfolded it for the first time. I'm not sure yet what the problem was, but seemed to be a restless boy all night. Sigh.

Lily, enjoy that day off! I'm getting one here too. Tom took over kid/teacher/taxi duties for me today! Ah!! Lovin' it!

Hmmm. Guess that's all I got. Better go find a project to dive into. Don't want to waste my free time! I don't think I've been alone in 6 months! This is weird! Might need to do the seven veals or something just to celebrate!
