Mrs. AA wanted me to know she had a great walk in Queens today. They were working in a Korean neighborhood with very congested sidewalks, street vendors, etc.

She loved it. She said Pilot worked wonderfully with the crowded conditions.

However, there was one instance where Pilot ran her into someone, so she corrected Pilot. This attracted the attention of two nearby Chihuahuas who had apparently not noticed Pilot until that point.

They began barking at her and one even bit her nose! Mrs. AA was amused instead of angry, especially since Pilot's only reaction was to look at the dogs as if to think (in Mrs. AA's words) "Are you insane, you nasty little rat?"

Beth, if Liz gets the third bedroom, who gets the second bedroom (or is that on reserve for those days when you and Dave just don't get along).

LOL!!! Actually, the 2nd bedroom will be the office/library or den. It has a pair of solid french doors and it opens off the living room. So we figure to keep those doors open all the time and keep the computer and all our books in there. Since it has a breakfast nook, we're going to put our table there and make the dining room my scrapping/craft room!

Kimmie, looks like you have become our resident expert on banana-ology. Just pretend you can't hear those bills calling and keep researching those bananas!

I showed up for jury duty at 11:45AM and by 12:45PM I was on my way home. Seems that the defendent in the criminal case took the plea bargain. So I only had to sit around for an hour. And I'm off the hook for jury duty for at least 12 months. Woohoo.

Howdy in yaya land! Passed by a YaYa's flame broiled chicken and thought of my sistahs and bothers!

Went over to stepdad's today and drafted a few letters for him to change beneficiary or to close accounts. He commented that I type a lot faster than my sister and laughed when I said that's because she's a luddite. She's getting a computer soon, so she might catch up.

Ed saw a Dyson vacuum on clearance in Home Depot a few weeks ago, and now we've been in three, hoping that one of them somewhere might still have one! Have a feeling I'm buying a vacuum from Direct Buy, but they don't carry Dyson.

Dave and Beth, congrats on the new digs! I don't envy you moving in November, though.

Elaine, love the new haircut. I agree with Beth, that cut looks great on those of you with thick hair!

Uh, the trip to Costco today was dangerous-we DVD junkies had a hard time not putting all the various collections in the cart. I have a feeling the 7 disc Disney collection of Here's... is going to be under the tree for me this year. I may just break down and finally buy Ed the Monty Python flying circus collection (I don't know who wants it more, lol). I was a good girl-only came out with Night Fall in paperback and some laundry detergent.

Nancy, pumpkin bars with crumbled pecans on top would be good!

I may just break down and finally buy Ed the Monty Python flying circus collection (I don't know who wants it more, lol).

Make sure you check www.deepdiscountdvd.com or www.dvdpricesearch.com before you purchase the MP set. I bought it when it first came out and I swear that my two teens have memorized each and every skit on the entire set. I'm not sure if that qualifies as good parenting or not.

Nah...I forgot to tell ya in my euphoria! We'll start moving in Dec. 15th and the first thing to move will be the Christmas tree and all the decorations!! so we will be able to celebrate Christmas in the new place!

Evening gang!!

Thank you for the well wishes on the head. It felt much better this morning...although the dang sinus's are still acting up!

We had a teacher workday today and I spent the day chasing my tail! I had to touch base with teachers of the kids I never see, talk to the case manager for one of my 8th grade students only to find out the girl tried to commit suicide after some kids in my class (the day I was out last week) gave her a hard time. There were other issues but this was the proverbial straw. She is physcially fine, I don't know how she is otherwise. She is supposed to come back monday. This is the same class with the kid in jail!
So I had no time to sneak in some Dis time today. That was mean!

Then I am dealing with another kid who thinks he is a mountain goat. Ethan climbed out of his playpen yesterday (3 times mind you!) and so this morning after he stood up in a chair and mom fussed at him he decided to try base jumping out of it and landed on his head before mom could catch him. Has a nice bruise from this one. Then she put him in his crib in his room since the sides are so high there was no way for him to climb out.....or so she thought. When she heard a THUD she ran up there to find him on the floor gtting ready to wail. She called me, I called the peds office, and he now has another bruise on his forehead (did i mention we are doing family pics this weekend??? ). So after work I went to Burlington Coat Outlet/ Baby Depot and bought a "tent" for his bed. You put this on top of the crib and they can stand up but the person on the outside has to unzip it for them to get out!! So he is now caged!!

Boy those people who think Leashes are bad would really think I'm terrible if they found out I have a cover on my crib like a little jail!! It's okay b/c the kid will be in therapy forever anyway....since he is my kid!!

Suzanne...I went to BJ's the other day (just like Costco) to pick up 3 things totally about 40 dollars....I came out with about 12 costing more than 100!! But hey, some Christmas shopping is done!!
