Nancy, you guys look fantastic!!! And Christin's costume turned out beautiful!!!! She looked awesome! So nicely done ::yes::
What did Desia go as? :)

Heard the rumor about YC as well :( Doesn't make me happy as I kind of thought they were a bit expensive as it was. Might mean I won't frequent there as much.

Pam, congrats to your DS for being a finalist! I do hope a shot or two turned out so we can see!!

Yay for Scotty working!

Suzanne, hang in there today. I am so glad, though, that the boys were able to enjoy last night! And I'd forget that godmother... sounds like she needed stripped of her title ;)

A little tired today, and I will probably head to church later on in the day.

Good morning, all! Lazy morning, here, don't have to be at work till 3. Getting ready for the corporate folks to come visit had me positively exhausted by the time I came home last night. Couldn't get up the energy to even sit at the computer! Took me a good 1/2 hour to get up this morning--I was lying there planning a new layout in my head for the winter section of the store. Now I have to go google some pix for it!

Lots of prayers for strength and comfort for you, Suzanne. I know today will be quite a strain on you. The blender is ready and waiting to whip up a little relaxation for you tonight, isn't it? I would definitely demote that godmother and get on with your own life and family.

Nancy, I LOVE the costumes!! I would have never noticed the collar or foot problems if you hadn't mentioned them. And I didn't realize Christin's outfit was so involved!! It came out positively fantastic and she looks WONDERFUL!! Good job, sistah!!

No little beggars here last night--so depressing. I saw them trick or treating at the houses across the street, but nobody came over here. Have to admit, though, that I don't miss the rude and greedy teens, especially the ones who don't even bother to dress up. Glad to hear there are still some polite ones out there who know how to say thank you!

Pam, I can't wait to see your pix of DS in his outfit!! Come on, get 'em uploaded!! How tremendous that he was a finalist, too!! He must be sooo happy!! How'd Gunny do with all the commotion?

Oh, Karen, I'm so glad to hear Scotty is back at work!! Now, if he can just get the schedule worked out so that he's working the night of the meet!! Hope he is fully healed and won't need to go thru anything like this again. How are you doing, btw? They aren't overworking you at the office, now, are they?

Got some errands to run this morning and that sample layout to put together. Hope everyone has a great day! Mad, mad love to you all :grouphug:

Good morning. Need the :umbrella: today.

I have to go get blood taken and a shot  Then some errands.

 Suzanne. Thinking of you and your family.

Thanks for all the comments on Christin's outfit. I'm so glad it is over....and she was actually happy with it :teeth:
I'm trying to get imagestation to load...it isn't, so Desia picture will have to wait for later.
I have to leave.

Be back later :wave2:

Good morning all!!

Nancy - I applaud you!!!! The costumes are great!!!!
Beth - I envy you - I have to say - lame as it may be- retail was one of my most enjoyable jobs - I worked for Waldenbooks for several years - I truely enjoyed every day - in fact I am seriously thinking of getting a part time job at Barnes and Noble...what can I say - It's books - I love it!!
Suzanne saying a prayer for strength for you and your family.
JRKaren - woohoo for Scotty!!
Pam - can't wait to see pics. My son went to some haunted house thing last night with friend - then out and about - said he didn't ask for candy because he didn't have a mask...
HI Elanie!!
Hi Lily!!
Alan - loved the Halloween Grinch....quite a resemblance - haha

:sunny: is shining - gotta get some laundry done.
Happy day - :grouphug: and  to all!!

My internet hosting service finally relocated their server(s) from West Palm Beach to Minnesota in an attempt to stay out of the way of any future hurricanes. So now I can post some homecoming photos:

And a couple of Halloween photos:

Sarah and her pirate friends. Hmmm. That coat looks familiar. Hey wait a minute. That is MY town crier coat. Grrrrrr.

Me and my bonfire. I setup our portable fire pit in the front yard this year. Not sure I will do that again, but it did cast an eerie glow over our front yard.

A day early! Wooo! Guess I should go check the mail. How are the bonus tracks?

Sheesh, where do the days go? Took me an hour to find my last post. :(

Suzanne, my prayers and condolences and an extra prayer for strength in dealing with the godmother. Kind've like the ideas the others had... a demotion sounds like an appropriate plan of action.

The real wedding pics are great! Looks like everyone had fun!

Bethie, your adventures in retail sound exhausting but rewarding. I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it all!

Karen, sending woo hoos for the biopsy resuts!

Gotta agree with Elaine on the Halloween vent. I get fed up with all the "spooky" stuff on tv.

Tara, much like Ethan, I tend to grump through breakfast too. I hear ya Ethan. Hang tough dude and you and brother be nice to your ole' Ma.

Congrats to Pam for talking so much. I'm stuck at 9K and will be for the rest of my life.

Karen, my heart goes out to you. This is quite an experience ya'll are going through.

Happy belated birthday to Jared and :Pinkbounc for knitting groups. I need to find one.

Nancy those costumes are fantastic!!! You did a beautiful job on Christin's!

Lily's guy leaves for New Orleans... tomorrow? Safe travels Ted!

Hi Liz! Nice to see you!

Nothing interesting to report here. School, work, drive, clean, sleep, etc etc yada yada yada...

My wife calls it "Picture Land". Last year she started decorating our deck (and this year our family room because it was raining outside on the day of homecoming) to create a spot where the kids can have their pictures taken. A couple of years ago, she dropped off James and his date at her house and everyone was taking pictures in the driveway (with SUVs and minivans in the background). She thought that it was a shame that the kids got all dressed up and that their only other photo opportunity was at the actual dance. So we had a bunch of kids over for photos. I think we need a bigger family room.

I just wanted to make sure that everyone saw that our very own Lily has become a DIS moderator! She will be moderating the WISH board!

Yay Lily!

What a sweet thoughtful wife you have!! The setting is just perfect! The colors of your room, the brick hearth, the flowers... they all blend together beautifully!

Lily!! Congratulations!!! That is AWESOME! Uh oh. This doesn't mean there'll be no time for YaYa'ing does it?! :earseek:

Stupid server thingie

Went to church at 12:30 and then stopped at Taco Bell for lunch.

What part of Chicken Soft Taco cheese only is so hard to get???? Chicken on a soft taco with cheese, right? Yeah, they can't ever seem to get it straight. It's edible but I hate it when they add crap I don't like.

That said...

John, loved all the pics! That one of you is too cool :teeth: the kids looked great for both homecoming & halloween! Amazing stuff Sue does to set up :)

Bethie, don't work too hard :)

Nancy, hope that the doc wasn't too bad. Can't wait to see little Desia too :teeth:

Paula, how is everything at the home front! I say go for the PT job if you would love it!

Kimmie ignored the little thing I said to her... I guess she's jealous that mine came in teh mail and she is still waiting ;)

Lily, congrats on your new position!!! Now we have two mods here

Off to dig through some candy :)

Kimmie ignored the little thing I said to her... I guess she's jealous that mine came in teh mail and she is still waiting

Ignored what? Are you skimming? :p

A day early! Wooo! Guess I should go check the mail. How are the bonus tracks?

**tara drags her backside onto the boat using both hands***Hey gang, don't get too close I think I am getting a cold. Don't know why I think that...sore throat, can't breath, someone is sitting on my chest making breathing difficult, and I'm coughing till my face turns purple...other than that I'm okay :teeth:

Elaine...I have to look at my Passporter to find out what day i'm doing LeCellier...I want to say Sunday...but I could be wrong. At least your lunch was edible...I opened my container of Campbell's chunky sirloin steak soup and it looked exactly like the dog food I give patches...ewww....I took a few bites and it tasted like dog food so in the trash it went! I ended up with a granola bar and some nerds.

Lily...congrats on teh new job. I guess we (the yaya's) need to be careful what we say around her now ;)

Suzanne...glad the boys had fun last night. Sorry g-mom is a pita! Good luck dealing with her!

Nancy...the costumes were wonderful.

hi to everyone else. Gotta get back to work. I promise i'll finsih my ketchup later.
tara

Kimmie :rotfl: I swear I looked at your post more than once... I have a new mouse and I scrolled over the first line four times I think!!!!

Bonus tracks are good! Songs are good adn I admit I like the remix of "Cry Out To Jesus" a bit more

Tara, was just curious. I would've thought it was funny if we had lunch at Le Cellier on teh same day :)

Hi Ya Yas!

Not to worry about me. Sergeant Schultz is my middle name...."I know nothing!" What happens in Ya Ya land stays in Ya Ya land!
:earsgirl:
Thanks for the good wishes for Ted and me. I'm back in class today. Learning lots.

Love the pics TC.

Nancy fantastic costume. Thanks for hooking a pic for us. My DS refused this year. Sigh.

Suzanne, seems like you've got a handful ahead of you.

Kimmie, great ketchup there.

JRKaren, Yay for Scotty! I am truly happy to hear the news. He is a fun one there for sure, and I do enjoy it when he is playing.

Ted and I wen to library to get him books on tape for his drive down to NawLeans last night during Trick or Treat. Mom was on candy duty. We do not get any kids during that time. Sacraficing myself...eating all the candy.

What am I invisable? I've been a moderator for close to two years now. Aren't you careful what you say around me? ;)

Karen

HI everyone - having a much better day than yesterday but if course not without drama....

Got a call from the Dean of Students - seems as though Chris got into an altercation with another student in art class (I knew taking art was going to be a problem - it's unstructured classes that he is more likely to be bored and hence get in trouble....sorry - that's not to be used as an excuse) - anyway started as throwing clay - escelated to throwing rulers than pushing....Anyway - Dean of Students told me that upon arriving to the classroom she saw Chris extending his hand in apology to the other student and although she disagrees with the circumstances she commended him highly for the way he handled himself. So - zero tolerance in effect - she said that normally he would be suspended out of school because the pushing is considered fighting - however since he handled himself so well she gave him 1 day in house suspension - other student got same. I have not yet talked to him about it - he came home and asked to play basketbal - maybe I was wrong but I let him go - thinking the physical exercise would do him some good - I'll talk to him later.....

Otherwise my dad has been pretty uneventful - really nice out - even turned the heat off and opened the living room window. Had a beautiful pheasant on my front lawn this afternoon.

Congrats to Lily - yes I am a WISH'er and safe travels to Ted.
Tara - 1 word.....LYSOL.....
John - loved the pics - beautiful room!!

More later.....

John....great pictures and the room looked amazing!!

Congrats, Lily :)

Got lots of after-Halloween goodies
Ate at Taco Bell too, Elaine, but I like all the crap they put on :rotfl:

Tara...hope that cold doesn't turn too bad. I know you wanted to play hooky but that isn't the way to do it.

Well, I was going to post a picture of Desia....got farther into imagestation, but still can't get the album to open. So guess you have to wait longer :p

I need to bake cookies, take down Halloween decorations and put up Thanksgiving ones and get Dave packed for a trip....so see ya later :wave2:

Nancy, she is adorable!!!! Was she carrying around Mingo? ;)

Wish you could've been here, then you could've eaten the junk I don't like the taste of... or that my stomach isn't liking

Paula, sorry about Christopher there with class. I would imagine he must feel rotten though and I bet that the physical activities might help him some. Usually do with me when frustrated.

Oh and Tara, I forgot to say, I do hope you are feeling better soon!

I like your style there Lily ;) And what a rough sacrifice you have going there
Would you sacrifice yourself with some of my candy too? ;)
