Afternoon Ya Ya gals (and guys)!

It's waaaaarm here, but only for a few more hours, so I'm headed back out again soon. I know the front is on its way, then we're looking at major temperature drops before evening. Ooh! I just got an email from the very nice U of Washington people saying they had all my stuff, the application was complete and they'll be in touch. Yay for Purolator! Still no updates from Miami .. beh, if they don't want me it's their loss. :p

Elaine, since I got married I've been the youngest of the group more and more (Scott's 8 years older than me, so most of his friends are too). At least I have a good time making them feel old. "Oh, it was 1975? That's why I don't know it, that was waaaaay before I was born." *snert* Do you have pilates videos/dvds or do you work from a book?

Kimmie, hope your tired self got some good zzz's.

Pam, I laughed out loud about the 'c' word thing. I was just skimming through the posts before I did my ketchup, saw that and I was thinkin' "what the heck was going on in here?!" We'll have to do something special to commemorate your 30th in August.

Tara, Hope your head's feeling better today. That story about 'I was just born chocolate' caused a lot of snerting here. in advance for tomorrow night. Hope there will be some good memories there.

Hi Beth! Hope you're feeling better soon. I'm keeping a good thought for the girl at your church. Poor thing. :(

Debloco (can we call you Deb? Are you a Deb? This is me being nosy, btw), hope you have a great trip! Give Mickey a hug for me.

Stacy, as Suzanne said sometimes Ya Yas meet up. I've observed Ya Yas on their way to meets, in fact, and they pursue their kindred with single minded determination. ;) Do you know where you're staying in August?

Nancy, we have a younger Ya Ya? Cool. Well, I hope she'll pop in too. I didn't realize the BaB obsession was new. Are we gonig to have a new one for 2005? I want in. :teeth: How did the apartment-shopping go?

Suzanne, sounds like fun going to a wedding reception and Disneyland all in one trip. Hooray for a/c installation! Sounds like your house is in the home stretch.

JRKaren, hope you were able to get some additional sleep. Staying up from 3am on would be rough. I'm glad I'm still 'stalker uno' .. heehee. I hope the extra attention from you co-workers was a good thing (it might freak me out a bit, honestly). It's good to know they care, though.

Sherry, hope you're enjoying the 'warm' weather too! I'm going to miss it.

Hi Susie! Hope work is going well for you.

Kristy, have a good nap!

Paula, sounds like you're having an great day. Do you always go to the dairy farm for milk or was that a special trip? I wouldn't even know where to find a dairy farm around here, although I know they're out there.

Kimmar - Tibetan monestary, huh? So we all get ... two monks? That could make for some reserved Ya Yas (or some terrified monks!)

Deena - a bead up the nose!? Ouch! Sounds like something I would have done to stress out my mom. Although my specialty was falling down the stairs. Explains a lot about me, huh? Hit on the head a lot. ::yes:: *snert*

Happy Birthday, WebmasterKathy! Hope you get some tasty :cake:

Ok, my turn to kill the thread. I'll be back after y'all have posted another 17 pages. (Also, grr about the smilie limit!)

Nancy, we have a younger Ya Ya? Cool. Well, I hope she'll pop in too. I didn't realize the BaB obsession was new. Are we gonig to have a new one for 2005? I want in.

Caroline - I have one already picked out - Roadkill! :teeth: Youare definitely in, babeeeee..... :smooth: Just hop on your :moped: and cruise the roads for some prime critters! :cool1:

Caroline - I always get my milk from the dairy farm - ou can even watch the milking being done. Great milk - and only $3.00/gallon vs almost $5 at the grocery store - great "treats" - always get DD birthday cake there with real whipped cream frosting!! And - another plus - if you save the milk caps - when you get to 100 you get $5 off!! Woo - hoo!!

Deena - a bead up the nose huh?? Brings back memories of when DS was in kindergarten - I was called to school on Halloween for a M&M up the nose - and a green one to boot!! lol.

More ketchup later (new but catching on quick!!)

Ya never know what lurks under them ROBES!!

Tara  I'll be thinking about you tomorrow. Congrats on 1000 posts
Karen that was very sweet of your coworkers to make sure you were alright
Nancy I think you should flog your dh for even thinking about putting his legos in your room. What's up with boys and their boys? Mine still has his lincoln logs from when he was a toddler!!
TC glad to hear that your ankle is getting better!
Now wait a minute....why do we have to give up our BAB obsession? I'm rather fond of mine ya know :p
Hmmm...I vote for moving us to a ski lodge or something like that. If we get tired of Pam bossing us around we can throw her in the snow
Paula how did you find the dairy farm for getting your milk? That's really cool.
Woohoo Caroline's paperwork is moving and grooving.

Welp folks....it's time for me to head to school. I need to buy my books before class starts. I'll be back in later tonight.

Hey, Deena, guess where Junior just went? He went to pick up some chicken wings for dinner. :teeth: He had a craving.

Tara, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. And congrats on 1,000.

Tara, sending you hugs for tomorrow. I hope you can get past the sadness of the moment, and look back on all the wonderful memories you have of your friend.

Oh, and I don't think it would be possible to kill a Yaya thread--we have too much hot air floating around here ;)

Karen

Now I have to go back and read how and why Deena stuck a bead up her nose! Wow the things that the yayas will do for attention!

Thanks for the hugs and good thoughts!!

Gonna go watch the news!!

Hmmm... never really thought to try to make people feel old ;) I'll have to try that :p

I use Pilates from a DVD, but I also do have a book!

Holy smokes $5 a gallon? Wow!!!!!! That's a lot! I did used to have fresh milk when I was in Germany. I actually stayed where the cows lived.

Bead up the nose? How cute of him to do that ;)

Headache and dinner almost ready... see y'all later!

Free to loving Ya-Ya:

11-yr-old girl. In 5th grade but no further education is neccessary because she know everything. Will give you plenty of privacy because she is prone to stomp upstairs to her room when she doesn't get her way. Only whines occasionally.

Comes with (not optional, you take her, you take these)
-messy bedroom
-hormones
-pink sweatshirt that she wears everywhere and sometimes sleeps in when I'm not looking

Should be returned to natural mother when she turns 18 or gets a hysterectomy. Which ever comes first.

Interested parties should respond here.

I know I wasn't like that at 11. Will she survive? Will I survive? Need hugs now!!

Fresh-mouthed young YaYa needs an attitude adjustment! pirate: ;)
We were at a ski lodge a couple of years ago. Nancy took her cabana boys to the loft and didn't emerge until June!! :earseek:

shatzjsl,
Regretfully I must pass on your most gracious offer of an 11 yer old daughter. DARN! Age 18 is a good age for you to reclaim her..... my DD is now 19 and just looooooves her Mommy and Daddy to pieces. (It could be because we are funding college and driving down to bring her home almost every weekend, though - oh and sending awesome care packages in the mail, too!) ;)

Sorry I have 3 hormonal teenage boys here and I have heard horror stories of the girls. Plus a toddler driving me crazy. Right now the only one who isnt really a PITA is my 4 yr old.

I'll take her, Susie!! And for you,
hug.gif
Been there, done that. You might not want her back, even at 18! My own princess: will be 24 in May and let me tell you, age 11 thru 16 were what gave me my gray hair!! Now, you just sit down, I'll have one of the cabana boys bring you something nice to drink and you can tell me all about it.........

Deena,
Ya might want to reconsider that 11 year old girl - I'm pretty sure she's past the stage of sticking beads up her nose - she'llprobably just want to get a ring in her nose..... and her eyebrow..... and her bellybutton..... and her tongue..... and ----- well, you know! :earseek:

;)

Shatz, I'll make a trade with you. I'll take your 11-year-old daughter if you take my 75 year old father and 38 year old brother.

Karen

Sorry Susie, I'd get too many looks for having a daughter that old... people don't think I look 27 as it is ;)

I'm good with going Skiing again... it has been a while... and I think after the Yurt, we went downhill with our homes anyway ;)
