Rock on, Deena!;)

DH and I went and voted earlier. I "persuaded" to vote along my lines.....:smooth:

Elaine - glad to hear that your Dad is doing better - that was pretty scary!:(

Amanda and Shep - the girls are adorable!! Our 19 yr. old DD was going to be Sleeping Beauty for Halloween - she and her friends were going to be the Disney Princesses and then one got in a snit and said she wasn't coming home, so DD went as an angel and her other friend went as a cow - and the 3rd one shows up afterall, as a hooker/Charlie's Angel (she couldn't decide which she was)....

I just saw your comment Deena, so this made me laugh :teeth:

Pam, I admit, an angel was one of my choices for halloween this year if I had dressed up (we nixed the Halloween party this year). Pity that the princess idea was thrown out though. Where would your DD have gotten her costume from? I would love to be Cinderella some year... but I am told I would make a better Belle... either has a nice gown... although if I could find Sleeping Beauty in blue...

yep, tired, should go to sleep... actually I have tired to but the dang phones keep ringing.

Elaine,
I just deleted the bookmark for the site that sold the costumes.:( She was going to be Aurora in pink. You would make a great Belle - or Jasmine!:D

:wave2:

Been raining all day long. Blech!

DH & I voted early this morning. Didn't have to wait at all, which was good. A few places in the area had waits as long as 2 hours.

Elaine, sorry to hear about the scare with your Dad. Glad to hear he is OK now. :)

Jared is out with Grandma right now for his b-day dinner and to pick out his gift. :)

Pam, I don't mind Aurora in pink, but I just don't wear that color all that much (well I do, but if it isn't "hot pink" I don't) I own a ton of blue so I guess I seem to like to wear it :teeth:

I am rather flattered... a Jasmine? Just wish I had the body to go with :teeth:

Sherry, been raining since late morning here. Glad you didn't have to wait long. Some at work took as long as 2-3 hours this morning
Hope Jared is having a good time with his grandma :)

Was a lot more tired than I am... either the drugs or the food has made me feel better ::yes::

So far, I have resisted even going to the rock. Don't think I wanna know.

Elaine, glad all worked ok for your dad. That prep is by far much worse than the procedure. Hope you all feel better tomorrow. It really must have been a day.

Amanda, those pics of the girls are adorable. Thanks for sharing.

Sounds as if weather did not prevent our group from getting out to vote. We all managed here. So lucky for us no waiting. I hope that that didn't mean our pouring rain kept some citizens away.

TC, it is amazing how those dollars add up. Heated sidewalks in our honor then hmmm?

Lucky Jared that he gets to go shopping with Grandma. Wonder what he picks?

Everyone, Hi howareya?

Quick check in before I finish getting ready for work...I am going to do my best to not get on the internet while at work today:rolleyes:

Sore throat today....looks like I may have to call the Dr. soon if the sinus issues don't let up.

Rained a lot yesterday, thankfully after I got into to work...though I wish it would have stopped when I was leaving work.

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Morning!!

Hope you feel better soon, Amanda.

Lily, Jared picked RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, A Zelda gameboy game, and a Game Boy Advance Video. :teeth:

Morning all... doing much better today (so far ;))

Lily, you are wise... you don't want to know :p

Amanda, I do hope you are feeling much better soon!!!

Sounds like good picks Sherry! I didn't even know Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 was out!

:crazy2: These last few states are killing me. I woke up twice last night to turn on the TV to see who had won--nobody yet, lol.
Elaine--if you were helping them count those votes we'd already have an answer :) They need a yaya to show them the fast way!

Ohhh--breaking news: We finally got some cool weather. Im so excited. It was supposidly in the 40's lst night (I slept with my window open). High 60+ here today.

Edit to add: Ohio is in for Bush, with 20 elc votes. He had 254 before it was in, now fox shows him 269. I know Im a little slow but isnt 254 + 20 = 274?? What am I missing?

Deena,
The TV stations have been off ALL NIGHT with their electoral counts - no one has the same amount.

I think some would give him certain states and others wouldn't. Earlier this morning CNN had Bush at 254 and Kerry at 252, I believe it was NBC that had Bush at 269 and Kerry at 221 - again all without Ohio.

Wasn't there already a thread about this sort of thing complete with lots of plumbing references? ;)

That's dirty pool Pamalicious...unless you got him to vote for "my" candidate, of course.

Alrighty then that makes more sense. I knew I was bad at math but not that bad, lol.
Pammy your famous!! Your rock post has been quoted more than once, on more than one thread, lol. And, sadly, TOV is still clueless.

Obi Wan-Alan - are you a Bush man???

Deena - I'm quoted on more than one thread?? Should I begin my acceptance speech??;)

Good morning, Ya Ya family! Yes, I am finally feeling human again and ready to return to the land of the living. Whooo-eee, but that's a nasty virus!! Felt like I was gonna be TKO'd!!!

Discussing politics is a good way to ruin a friendship, so I will avoid the subject.

I read the entire rock thread--TOV isn't the only clueless one! At least I managed to keep myself from posting about mean-spirited, heartless people. Whatever happened to the golden rule, anyway?!

Laine, I'm so glad your dad is OK. What a scare he put in your day--and his, too!!

Amanda, so sorry you still aren't feeling well. Absolutely LOVED the pix of your girls in their costumes!! They were adorable as I expected.

Sherry, your boys ALL looked wonderful for Halloween!! I was especially struck by how REAL the makeup looked on the hippie/Bob Marley guy (I'm sure I would guess the wrong J, so I won't even try!) and I can certainly see why Elvis won!!

Heated sidewalks?! WoW, TC, what a way to solve the problem!

There are far too many Tootsie Rolls in this office for my good :o Somebody needs to come smack my hand next time I reach into the basket!

Hey, Pam!! Loved the Halloween costume choices your kids went with! Although, I think DD would have been gorgeous as Aurora!! I don't suppose we could talk you into posting a pic or two, could we?

Better get back to work......I'll check back when boss goes to lunch!

 Have a good day, everyone!

Morning Ya Yas!
Amanda, hope you feel better. If not, try not to put off the doc visit too long. You want to make it easy to recover for yourself before you let it get you too much.

Sherry, oh what a haul he received!

Beth, stay away from those Tootsie rolls. Send them over here!:teeth: I'm with you on the political comments.

Pam has a famous quote, Well I'll be.

Elaine, I am not going there I am not.

I must report for a late night of work today. I am liking the $$$. DH is on his way to Buffalo for the remainder of the week. :(

Pam if you demand a recount maybe we can slip you name in ;)
You were quoted on the both on the rock thread and the "I was Intimidated at the Polls" thread--btw the OP is hilarous I recommend reading it if you havent.

Beth glad your feeling better.
Connor and I dropped Evan off at school and went to the craft store you should have heard these ladies crying about how cold it was  Hello people its in the low 60's. It feels great! I put the boys in jeans and long sleeved shirts but Im wearing short sleeves and capris. I have been dreaming of this weather for months :)

...even a quick ketchup now.....just wanted to know if anyone else caught Johhny Depp:faint: on Oprah yesterday....??!?!?!
