CS, what is your DBF into? Would he appreciate a watch or a ring/necklace or the like? Or maybe a trip? I think either something special that will last forever or maybe something that will be full of memories that could last forever

CS-having never been able to successfully keep a relationship for more than one sporting season, I don't have any good ideas for you. But I'm sure there are others who can give better suggestions than I!! hehehehe Good luck to you.

DS still running a 103 fever. Had to get a urine specimen from him today and every time I put that cup in front of him he got performance anxiety. Finally got one, but then it was too late to take it back to the dr. I have to do that tomorrow morning. I sure hope he feels better soon! Not sure my nerves can handle this too much longer!

Time to go cross stitch and watch Trauma Life in the ER, back later.

Oh Lordy, what a day!! Got to work this morning, only to find a strange woman on the other side of the partition in my office! Nobody bothered to tell me a new employee was starting work today!! Then the boss shows up along with the female partner and guess who got to play trainer all day??!!!! Yup, none of them know how to use the accounting software we have!!! Oh well!!! Come Friday, not my problem!!!

Oh, feeling much better today, thank you. Still got this nagging cough which triggers my asthma, but as long as I don't move around too much, don't talk too much (yeah, right ), and drink constantly, I'm OK.

Sorry you're still feeling punky, Deena. Hope it passes soon for ya! Rotten when ya got crumb snatchers underfoot.

Todd, it was like that earlier today for me... until the storms hit. I had a new one happen to me today... there was fog on the INSIDE of my window. It got so cold so quickly due to that storm that my car's inside was so hot it produced the fog. It was weird!!!

Tara, I hope your DS is feeling better soon!

Actually, she's not MY replacement--she was hired to replace my coworker who was let go. My resignation caught them unprepared!! HEE-HEE-HEE!!! And it's only one of the software packages we use that they don't know. We also use Quickbooks and they all know that.

Now what's really weird is that I LOVE the humidity (when it's not so hot, anyway) Part of my problem is dry spots in my throat that cause me to cough which in turn sets off the asthmatic reaction for some reason. When the air is so humid, I don't get the dry spots! I don't understand at all why I get the asthmatic thing. Nobody has ever bothered to splaine it to me

Beth - so - do they have a replacement for you?? Maybe the boss will have to do a little less golfing! And - do you have an inhaler for the asthma? I've been wheezing the past couple of nights - and my inhaler dried up.

Hi all... stopping in quickly. We are powerless right now. I stayed home since I've been up half the night due to storms... we have some damage to the roof (mostly because my husband didn't fix it the LAST time *grrrrrr*) but I think the rest looks okay.

I'll be back online once I get power again.

Hi GUys,

Whew, it's been a busy weekend. Hope everyone had a great fourth of july. We had parties every day from Friday - Sunday. I can't take anymore.

Now I'm busy trying to find a place for my DD Sweet Sixteen in March. Being a newbie here in Jersey, I don't really know of any places.

I checked out 2 which were beautiful, Chateau Grand and Vanity Fare both in Lakewood. The menu's were like wedding menus. I just think paying that much money for 60 teenagers is probably going to be wasted. We will only have about 10 adults there.

I'm checking out one place today in Spring Lake, which has a menu geared for Sweet Sixteens. Chicken strips, pizza bagels, fajitas, tacos, pasta and some salads and italian dishes.

DD wants to wear a ball gown. YIKES!!!!

Oh and Happy Birthday to me!!!

Shep - I would have been happier if you had read my first in the beginning!!

Lizzie - Holy Cow! All my DD wanted for her 16th birthday was her driver's permit, a tramploine and a cake with her family and BF!! I think the teen menu sounds good. Regarding the evening gown - most of the stores have their prom gowns really deep discounted right now - you might want to see if you could find a dress at one of the department/bridal stores. DD and I usually buy Homecoming and prom dresses that were originally over $120.00 and up for around $20-$30!!

Elaine - sorry about your roof. These storms have really been intense, haven't they?! A lot of folks about 30 miles south of us haven't had power since yesterday.

Shep--glad to hear dd cut is doing better, That had to have hurt.
Today is the first day I feel like I might actually live through this crap. Its been 5 days since I could hear out of my right ear, its still stopped up. I had a tube in it once before that helped and my ENT recommeded another when that one came out but Im a chicken and he is isnt sticking anything in my ear unless Im out cold, lol.
This Sunday is our road trip up to Dallas to take the 2 oldest boys to see Staind. Im not looking forward to the 4 hour drive.
Lizzie my oldest ds will be 16 in Sept--all he wants is cash! Cold, hard cash, lol.
