I am in the *wrong* part of the state to see the stars.

I used to live in a small town in the south panhandle, and you talk about a nighttime view!! After all, they do say (everyone sing!):
The stars at night
Are big and bright

Deep in the heart... of Texas
Hmmm... I could say something about more stars in TX because the state is bigger, so we have more room to see them from, but, *yawn* who wants to hear that? I don't, and I live here.

The big ol' city of Dallas puts out too much light pollution.
Deb, the tree is a Bradford pear.

It doesn't drop ugly seeds, sap or anything. Just those blooms.

It blooms best after a hard freeze, like we had a few weeks ago. Otherwise we get about half as much on it. I must say, ours had the most blooms and was the whitest in the neighborhood.

It's not the tallest or biggest, but it sure looked the best!

It still does, too!
I think I hear the garage door.... DW should be home with dinner. I'll try to be back to ketchup later.
