LOL.....Christin STILL squishes it first
I found a little gadget as a funny gift for her. It is a candy "borer" that takes a "core" sample out of a candy.

And just to counteract all the golf talke.....here is a VERY chocolatey recipe for you :teeth:

Hyper Chocolaty Brownies

Recipe By :Alex Rast
Serving Size : 0 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Brownies Cookies
Formed

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
12 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1 1/8 cup white bread flour
10 tbsp unsalted butter
3 large eggs
1 vanilla bean
1/2 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 350 F. Thoroughly grease a 9" * 9" square pan and set in the refrigerator.
Break the chocolate into small pieces, melt carefully in a double boiler. Remove from heat, and set aside to cool.
Slit the vanilla bean lengthwise with a knife and scrape the insides into a large bowl along with the sugar and the salt. Mix well, breaking up lumps in the sugar.
Cut the butter into small squares. Mix it in to the sugar (a wooden spoon works great for this) until thoroughly
blended, minimizing air addition (i.e.do not cream).
Stir in the chocolate and mix until fully blended.
Add the eggs, one by one, stirring each until it is fully incorporated before adding the next.
Blend in the flour slowly - this will take some effort. The mix should have the consistency of firm cookie dough.
Spread the mixture into the pan and smooth with a knife.
Bake at 350º F for 30 minutes. Cool completely and cut into squares as large as you want when you are ready to serve.

BWAAAAHAHAHAHAAAA:p:p:p!!!!!:p Yes, I learned to squish as an ADULT too.:p:p Excellent gift idea for all the little divas out there!

As Michele would say...TTFN!!!

Oh you sneated..now THAT's chocolate overload!!:p

Good night Jeannie.......or good luck going back to work.

I hear he has a 0 handicap...:jester:

Good Morning all!

Read about the spaghetti idea. You all are too funny. Actually a single strand of spaghetti would suffice. I am not a complicated girl.

GOLF, I must confess that I can throw the little white ball farther than I can hit it. Just don't enjoy that sport. I don't understand why I would want to hit/throw a ball and then chase after it and throw it again........BORING!!!! DS loves golf but usually can't play because the baseball coaches said it was bad for his swing. Now that he isn't playing this year, I suppose the clubs will be used much more this summer. Of course he gets free golf at the county parks.

BWAHAHAAH!!! Pssst....Rosie....did ya know if you're sneaky enough you can pick up that little white ball and drop it in the last hole and they give ya a new game?? ha...and I bet ya thought ya had to use that little stick to knock it into that tiny little hole!!! Hildey's golf tip of the day!!! HHAHAHAHAHhAhA!!:p :p

Crawling to the coffee pot! Back later ya'll! Hope everybody has GREAT days!!!!

ps...Beth? Ya ok this morning? My thoughts are right there with ya...can ya feel em?:p

Good Morning Sketti & Dream!!!! The coffee maker is calling me too.

Beth--how you feeling this morning???? Hopefully the new info you have been able to seek out has put your mind a little more to rest.

Busy day at work today, gotta make my flight arrangements, and find a great deal on a car!!! Oh yeah, and I actually have to do some work. ;)

Errands are calling my name. Will "chick" in later.

Morning Chicky babies!!!

Boring orndinary day at this yaya house! Nancy inspired me to spring clean. Got 2 rooms done yesterday and today it's the foyer, front room and knitting room. A bit of yaya shame....my Dept 56 houses are still on the second story shelf in the foyer........yes I know how many month since Christmas! :p

Time to get out DH's birdhouse collection~!

Debbie............never mind......jennifer decides it's too soon to beg for a spot in Deb's luggage. She'll wait and slip in at the last minute....

Morning all. Cleaning day here too! DH is still asleep (got home around 4am, I think). So I am off to do laundry.

Deb, make sure you get all your "work" done today!;)

Jennifer, I thought dept 56 houses never went out of season?

All right, survivor fans, don't forget I won't be home tonight. Please keep me posted. Was that Heidi I saw kissing somone in the previews?

Betty, I agree throwing the ball does make it go MUCH further! I don't get why baseball would interfere. The first thing my DOG (dog= director of golf) asked me was had I played softball because the grip and swing motion are similar.

If it makes you feel better, I left mine out the whole year last year. I usually don't put them away until we stop having snow. So they are still out along with my snowman collection. It is the Ya Ya way! By the way, what collection do you have? I have the Dickens Village. They are on my buffet in the diningroom.

Michele, the swing for baseball is very level and the softball swing is a little different because the ball coming in has an arch on it. Or so that is what all his baseball coaches have said. It is such a big thing that the high school team has a golf outing the day after the last game of the season.

 Good morning!

Jennifer........slow down. You'll be done spring cleaning before I am and I started a loonnnggg time ago ;)

{{{hugs}}} Beth...........and anyone else that needs one.

iluvorlando: I'm in the same boat but change my choice to Angel(thank goodness for vcr's:) )

Hi everyone:)

Hey gang.
It's great to be able to talk about golf & yankee candles on the same thread..:smooth:

Afternoon Shep. Is it nice enough to golf today? pretty cold and dreary here......

hehee...oh Nancy.....2 more rooms done! ****8 more to go so I guess I better not celebrate too much****

Supposed to rain today thru saturday(when I'm supposed to golf) hasn't rained yet, real windy though...
WOuld love to golf today, but I have to be at work at 3:30 and would have to let cassie be my caddy..:jester:

Tomorrow I'll be glued to the tv..
:bounce:

Hi all!!! I have to admit I am in the same boat as Betty there. I can throw a ball further than I can hit it I think. I was lucky to get it to go 20 feet. And heck, I used to be able to shot put that far and discus at least twice that. But light little ball would only go about 5 feet. And I can never decide if I feel more comfortable doing it left handed or right  I don't do put put well at all either... but I really don't want to go into stories of lost balls and hurting people with my shots :p

Jennifer, I have to admit, I smiled really big when you said "Morning Chicky Babies" I like that :teeth:

Hey Debbie, do you need help planning this trip? I'd be glad to help plan and as for a fee, I'll take a trip down there myself :p I really wish I could go and meet you all but unfortunately I can't seem to find air for cheap enough :(

Spring cleaning  What's that?? ;) :p I ought to do that but Luis has done a great job so far... maybe I'll let him continue :p

Spring cleaning??
One day it might get done...:o
